Phone books can be found in most homes, text books etc and can be used with ducttape for makeshift stab proof vest.

Well, this is a good idea. But since there isn't anything that you could get stabbed with..

It could reduce damage whilst being shot or hit with an axe/crowbar/baseball bat/wrench/hacksaw.

But it would break after about 2-5 hits and 2-3 shot's depending on weapon.

Shotgun/sawn off would break it in 2-1 shots.

It's a really good idea as I've mentioned and could be perfect armor for newspawns.

I have not seen phone book for at least 12 years... and it was full of some shitty numbers. We do not have them anymore, and you will not be able to find where buy it. So fail. But could work

Yes sorry whilst it's stab proof IRL I know there isn't much stabbing going on in the game. So as you said it could offer basic protection against a bullet to the chest or protect your ribs being broken from other weapons.

This is mainly a fresh off the coast alternative to a tactical vest where the materials can be found in regular houses.

This is Russia, how many years behind are they in their rural settlements?  haha

But yeah doesn't have to be phone books, can be regular text books or thick magazines etc.

Not phone books, but there are plenty of other books in game.

Awesome idea, it reminds me of how Brad Pitt taped some magazine to his arm in World War Z, it is awesome way to keep them biters at bay while srabbing them in the eye with a screwdriver, have some beans my friend)

The issue would be thickness I'd imagine.

Unless War and Peace is wildly popular in Chernarus in which case we have an alternative.

I would like to see it be done with two or three paperback phonebooks, one/ two for front, one for back and duct tape acting as straps.

Maybe you could keep adding to it? To make some phonebook medieval style armour, shoulder guards, quad guards and a groin guard.

I wouldn't expect it to effectively stop a bullet though, maybe the odd .22 shot.

Should be most effective against small melee weapons.

Make the phonebook readable? Have some easter egg addresses and names in there.

Ofcourse potatonia won't have phonebooks, the potato residents can't even use phones.

Using those phones as bricks could kill any man, and then make the phone preform better
