I honestly hate it when someone posts. "Its Alpha" No fucking shit, you don't need to remind us every 2 posts. Even for a alpha its in a pretty crappy state I have used Rust as an example so many times though but its true, Rust has been in alpha and doesnt have as many bugs etc, and they builded up from scratch. Dayz has ArmA 2 and 3 to build and get ideas off.

Which is report the bugs on the tracker up vote the really big issues and well then the devs can filter and fix what needs doing asap cause they aint going to sit and read a thread x amount of pages long about some dude lost his character because of bug x its not how it works people get sick of people crying the same thing every day and not doing it how it is intended to be done..

 

The game is so terrible to you , you like rust play rust and come back to Dayz later cause your not reporting bugs your whinning in the genral discusion very different things....

Well apparently we do. Perhaps if there wasn't so much shitposting and people complaining about things that the dev team have already said they are working on or planning to fix then it wouldn't be such an issue. 

 

As for Rust, have you actually played it? Its not built from scratch at all. Its basically Stranded (mod for Gmod) Standalone made in Unity. In its not even a fraction of the game DayZ is in terms of content, features, world, anything really. And don't even get me started on 'not as many bugs'. But you know what, that's okay because its alpha.

People post, "It's Alpha." when other people:

 

1. Complain about already well-known issues that have been reported numerous times already, when they could just bump one of the other hundred other topics about the exact same thing.

 

2. Whine about how they got killed or some bug/game issue is ruining their gameplay.  Game development isn't prioritized by whatever thing killed you last and self-entitlement issues due to your epeen being hurt.

 

3. Don't even know that the feedback tracker exists or just don't bother to use it at all and would rather just pointlessly bitch about stuff.  

 

4. Complain about DayZ not having features from mainstream FPS games (like factions/classes/game modes/killscreens/player stats/etc) and how it's too hard which demonstrates a failed lack of understanding of the concept behind DayZ.  DayZ is not a mainstream FPS twitch shooter. It's supposed to be hard...actually harder than it is right now so for anyone who thinks DayZ is too hard now...I don't know what to tell ya.

 

5. Make largely unintelligible rants comprised mostly of profanity, CAPSLOCK and exclamation points!!!!!!!!!

 

6. Think millions of dollars should suddenly cut down over a year of projected game development to just a month (because BI can just hire 50 more DayZ programmers/developers in the Czech Republic right?), ignore the fact that there have been 6 updates addressing core gameplay issued in less than a month and don't see why developers shouldn't have weekends and holidays off or do unnecessary things like sleep.

 

7. (BONUS) Compare DayZ to some other game and say, "Look at this game!  It has wing-dang-doodles, it's lemon scented, isn't buggy, doesn't lag and has no haxxors!"  Okay...DayZ is not THAT game.  DayZ...is DayZ.  Gotta love armchair developers.

You must be blind or delusional to say this Alpha is in a great shape. It's certainly a good foundation for upcoming content, but it's in no way in a good shape now. Servers lagg, almost no zombies, no loot respawn, no combat logging prevention, 4 weapons, only 40 servers slots and etc.

ALPHA: you literally just outlined what an ALPHA is supposed to be. They are testing none of the things you are complaining about. You serve the game no purpose at the moment, please play something else and complain about it while constructive people make this a good game.

Not true mate.

Its based on Arma 2, with Arma 3 and TOH code put into it aswell.
So its far from an upgraded Arma 2 engine.

They basicly stripped the entire engine down and started building a brand new multiplayer architecture, to remove the clients rights from Arma 2, and make the server "boss", to prevent the scripting we can do in Arma.
So saying this is "just updated Arma 2" is not true really, its so much more, thats why it took them so long to get the pre-alpha out.

 

Coz lets face it, this is not even an alpha yet, its basicly just a giant stress test of the new engine architecture, nothing else atm really :)
Thats why its littered with notes telling people not to buy it to play it yet, and thats why it will be in alpha till late 2014.
