Alright. I've replied to a few of the comments with different views and I'm gonna share mine one last time.

 

I don't KoS. It's not how I play DayZ. I've played mainly "heroes" in the mod and continue doing so. But I understand it. Those two guys who were shot should have been more careful. OP could have talked to them, ignore them or kill them. Those were basically the possible courses of action. I think it's ok to have some KoS in DayZ to had to the general cautiousness we should demonstrate. SInce it's early alpha and not the full game yet, there's still not many zombies or threats except for other players.

 

On a side note, I've been playing the DayZ mod for the past 14 or 15 months, and other similar survival games both single player and multiplayer. The multiplayer ones are more interesting for all the possible interactions with others that you can have. I've seen many many players complain about KoS, but I don't know if you remember a series of games named S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ? It was basically a survival game pretty similar to those we play today. Excepting, it was single player. But, I remember been shot and killed on sight by Bandits, Duty, Freedom, Clearsky, Military or other factions in the game. If AI/bots can KoS, then why not players? SInce they are human players? Since we lose our items upon death?

 

We knowingly play a multiplayer game with the possibility of being shot and killed by other players. If we don't accept that, we should play single player games. There are many ways to play DayZ in singleplayer (not the SA right now) and just kill zombies while being a Robert Neville type of survivor since there's no one else, or add AI non-hostile bots to help you. The possibilities are there. I don't like being killed on sight, but it's part of the game. Of course, I feel it's a bit weird to play a multiplayer zombie apocalypse survival game just to kill other players, since like I said, there are hundreds of other games out there made specifically for that.

You didnt killed them, so they server logged. If you plan to kill somebody and you have the moment of surprise on your side, aim for the head.

Even though I dont usually KoS I would shoot you  because of nice bandit signature on your face.

I do killed the first guy, that's for sure. He was on the ground. I don't know about the second guy tho,

Constructive feedback: 3PP pvp video are not worth watching. If its a pvp video, it must be in first person. Imho.

Who runs outside without scanning?  The victims were victims because they acted like victims.  Victims make mistakes.  I'd have shot them too.  If they scanned and saw me we would of hand a standoff, where possibly I would slowly creep along on my way or prepare for a firefight.  But never would I risk going into open chat and say "Friendly!  You friendly?  I'm friendly!  Lets be friends!"  In Chernarussian, that's translates to "Shoot me, because I won't shoot first!"

Normally, I'm a pretty friendly guy. I was just shot dead just before and regearing. Last night in a similar situation i asked for friendlyness and I got a mosinshot as reply. Luckily they missed and they can't tell the story anymore.

What I think is nice about this footage is that I thought they were my friends at first and the 10 bullets of course. I didn't want tot offend anyone with this footage.

Why are you presenting this shooting? It's worse than average aim... If you did this with two bullets straight in the face, without ruining the gear, then it would be cool. But this is shit and waste of ammo. I expected much more when I read the title.

Yes, but that's different.

The game wasn't meant for people to combat log. That's not how it's supposed to work and hopefully they fix it. 

 

(The game is however meant, and encouraged for PVP)
