vacanson 0 Posted January 15, 2014 Hey guys , i wanna know if DAy z is worth it at all! i am just a little tic off cuz i went and got the "Day z mod " From ARM 2 and payed $23 for it and NOT 3 MOUTHS LATER! the "Day z Stand alone " COME OUT AND NOW I NEED TO PAY FOR THAT!!! >:( so you can kinda see why i am MAD. was kinda hopeing that some one out there can help me out a bit. i really dont wanna pay $23 for a GAME that i all ready PAYED FOR to play it AGAIN drive me NUTS. can some one help me out on what to do on this. i do like DAY z i love seeing people posting videos on youtube , i think there funny , the game is going to be great BUT down side i lost out on 23$ just so i can spend 23$ MORE to play the game =( Sigh i really wanna play but not if i have to pay AGAIN Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You should wait for the game to be closer to finished (if that happens!) to purchase it. The DayZ mod is free. You didn't pay to play DayZ. If you want to play the real DayZ game, buy it. If you don't already like the mod, don't buy the current alpha, it's seriously lacking in features and will not be on par with vanilla DayZ for at least a year, so you can wait and save your money. Lorax 99 Posted January 15, 2014 First considering SA had been pushed back several times, and 3 months ago they were already testing server stability I can't say that I feel sorry for you. It was pretty much a given that they were going to get it out before Xmas. So I would do this. Play the hell out of that mod this next month or so. Download secondary mods Epoch and Aftermath and play those as well. Epoch has a lot of content and is more forgiving...Aftermath is less forgiving with less features. I personally like Aftermath. If you enjoy those mods and want an even more in depth, smoother, and visual game then get SA. I could care less if the kid buys the game or does not buy the game. But judging from YOUR response you should go back to Infestation:survivior stories. You seem like a good fit. It is the game he is looking for, and he should buy it. To the OP: if you liked Day Z Mod, then in a year this game will retail for about 50-60 bucks, right now you can buy it for 23.99. So if anything, buy it now to save yourself money, try it out and take part in the community, and then continue to get your REAL zombie fix in Day Z MOD. DayZ SA is going to be in alpha for a while(at least 1 year, i think) so the price should not change(i think)...There are a lot of features are not in the game right now...plus there are a lot of bugs...even Rocket said to not buy it right now...In the end...is up to you...if you think that you can ignore/endure all the bugs and the lack of features and things to do...and still have some fun, buy it...if not, keep watching videos and looking into the forums to check what the devs are working atm...buy it later Btw...like people said...Dayz Mod is free, what you bought is Arma 2 CO ;)Have fun mate Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The player base is a bunch of needy weirdos and whinge about anything at all, and try to ram THEIR ideas down your throat and up your a@$# at the same time. FPS is f'ing awful, even on a US$10K system running technology even the NSA hasn't even thought up yet. YOU ONLY GET FOUR GUNS!!! Everything you eat will kill you and don't even think about regenning blood! Can't be done! And ladders! Don't even try!! Players inst-magi-server jump on fat loot spawns, combat log whenever a bunny farts, ghost through other servers, and then bitch and moan because their charcter got wiped by a bug in the Alpha!!! IT'S AN ALPHA!!! ALPHA==CRAP!!! 1PP/3PP? Doesn't matter. Whichever you choose, YOU'RE AN ARSEHAT!!! (Did I miss anything?) If you knew enough to get arma2, dl the mod and find this forum, then Im astounded you spent for arma2 if $$ was going to be a problem. Knowledge is power. vacanson 0 Posted January 18, 2014 Well the thing is I DID GET THE GAME lol and i do like it but there are SO many things that need to be done / fix in the same. But i can understand that the game is not done. So i'll let that part go. and there are some funny times i have and other times... well not so much....i was being held by gun point and i had a gun as well but it was 2 v 1 so much i can do.....BUT when a zombie came buy i got my gun and killed both of them and i felt like a happy little school girl lol cuz MAN i got alot of STUFF. all in all does it need work? YES! do they need to add more? YES. do they need to add more people to server? YES. THEY just need to do a lot but the game is FUN if you have some one to play with or make a firend like i did in game. i just hope that things get better IN GAME Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
