mobile phone can be a usefull and funny thing in DayZ.

 

If the Dev Team bring in mobile phone with ringtones, Mp3 music, Effect Sounds and Voice mp3 then there are many funny and tactical Options.

It also brings in direkt communication between two people.

 

Example tactical and trolling:

Place one mobile phone on the ground where ever you want. Set the Ringtone to a Sound (ringtone,mp3 music,effect sound,voice mp3, weapons sounds) if a player comes near call the other mobile phone to play the sound.

Or let the mobile phone play a sound endless.

Handy with a choice of:

1.ringtones

2.mp3 music

3.effect sounds (maybe spooky)

4.weapon sounds

5.voice sounds

and the possiblity to Record Sounds

 

This idea will bring many, many good & evil Youtube Videos. The Art of Trolling. :D

 

And now all Hardcore realism fanatics can go mad, because they dont want funny things in a Game. ;)

Cell/mobile phones would not be able to make or take calls without a cellphone network.  No energy no network.  They could still have their uses but calling would not be one.  You could set up an alarm (a set time or a countdown timer) to act as a distraction for zombies or even paranoid players or the 'what's that' crowd.  You could take ingame pictures (as opposed to screen grabs and posting them online), IE for claiming a bounty or taking pics of a rival base/camp to show to your squad mates for tactical purposes.
