TheStevieJ 4 Posted January 8, 2014 Sometimes when someone climbs down or up a ladder, they are invisible for a couple / few seconds. I've died on numerous occasions to this and it is really frustrating and makes combat impossible for the other guy in certain situations. For example. When you are by the hopstial roof (near the door at the top, just peaking at the door) and someone climbs down the ladder from the very top, and opens the door to run inside, you would expect to see them as soon as they come to the door and run in so you can shoot them, but that is not the case. They can get all the way to your position completely invisible and appear just before they shoot or even axe you to death. This applys to some stair's aswell, such as the buildings with the 'blue doors' they have three levels. When they open the door and run up the stairs to the second level and you are peaking awaiting for them to come in they run up the stairs and they get near enough to the top completely invisible and by that time you are dead. I'm not sure if i am the only one experiencing this but it is extremely annoying. Sometimes I am forced to take cover in buildings from supressing fire and eventually they run in, and even though I have the height / peak advantage and SHOULD see them first, they run in up the stairs and I cannot even see them. Please fix this.
kichilron 8550 Posted January 8, 2014 I will ignore that you bumped your thread within half an hour and tell you this: They're not invisible, they're just kind of teleporting, because they're lagging out. It's not because they're invisible, it's a desyncglitch. On their screen they've run over there normally, it just takes a while for the server to realise and tell your client that he's there. This makes him appear infront of you. If you would move in that time you would suddenly be in a different position for him as well. The desync issue has been an ongoing issue for bothe the mod and the SA and will be fixed eventually.
TheStevieJ 4 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) No need to ignore it, is there a time limit on bumping? I did not spam the bump, I could bump five minutes after If I wanted, thanks. Thanks for the info. Edited January 8, 2014 by TheStevieJ

Premature bumping is frowned upon in these here parts :) take it easy dude. Ladders in the mod were the bane of my life til they kind of fixed it. Once a day is maximum for bumping - just putting it out before you start throwing bad words around. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/160702-rc-renegade-corps-dayz-mod-standalone-tactical-realism/?p=1637419

kichilron 8550 Posted January 8, 2014 You jumped at me like a dog before I posted more then once. Therefore your point is still invalid. I didn't. I merely pointed it out, so you don't get in trouble. I have done you a favour and even answered your question. Might have to think about that twice next time, though.
