Bipod attaches to handguard but not light? (Please change this)

Recommended Posts

So just another thing I have noticed about the M4 today. The bipod can attach to the 'regular' hand guards but not the flashlight. If you look at both attachments they have the same attachment system that would attach to any picatinny rail system. There are rail attachments you can connect to the 'regular' hand guards to allow these to attach to it, but if one can then both can. I am not a game coder but this can't be too tough to fix.

Gotta agree it was the same in the mod, dunno why they proper handguards are as rare as hens teeth given the abundance of weapon lights you find. think more people would play at night if it was easier to attach the light, or even duct tape it on..

Yeah, i've got this problem too it's really buggy, picked up a m4a1 with a flashlight, put on bipod, later i took flashlight off and bipod to switch it to another gun and they would go on

I wish it could be fixed

The bipod goes on the mosin too.

They should only fit the picatinny

Yeah I agree, otherwise there is no point in having the quad rail in the game.

i have a feeling people would sooner play at night when they fix light going through walls than that..

Pretty sure you have to get a M4 Handguard Rail and attatch the Flashlight to it and here's an M4 without the altered Handguard with a Bipod :)

Does the flashlight attachment even work? Everytime I get it it never works, prestige condition with a battery and everything.

Very nice. You see that piece attached to the hand guard? They make small picatinny rail sections that do that. Then you attach the bipod to it. BUT the flashlight can attach to that rail as well, because the attachment system is the exact same.

I actually said this in the OP

"There are rail attachments you can connect to the 'regular' hand guards to allow these to attach to it, but if one can then both can."

I agree that the dedicated weapon light should only fit the RIS, but it should be possible to 'craft' a weapon light by using the light you spawn with and a roll of duct tape.

will the flash light go on the fnx ?? honestly cant say i have tried it i only ask because i just watched the video of Dean Rocket Hall doing a stream video at night and they get attacked and killed but he has an fnx with the red dot scope on it and well it has a torch on the gun aswell...(well it seemed to be the fnx and it definately had torch light coming from it???)

you need RIS handguard to attach the flashlight, bipod don't require RIS
