BRDominik 16 Posted January 3, 2014 Hello, I recently found out a way to discover, what GSP is hosting a Server that doesn't has any indication in its Name. So, that I don't have to report the same IP to all the GSP. For that you'll have to get the Server IP, by simply opening the game and clicking in the Detail Button next to refresh. After you got the IP, you only need to enter it on the search bar in this Website: http://bgp.he.net/ Click search, and when the page is done loading, look at the description from the IP. Since some of the GSP don't have the Name in it's Description, so I've build this little table with some of the GSP and their description: Fragnet.com = ColoCrossingMultiplay = Peer 1 Dedicated Hosting | GameServers= GameServers.com | Choopa.netVilayer = B2 Net Solutions Inc. | DedicatedGaming | ZoneNewtwork??? = iiNet Limited Obs: "|" means variants, meaning that one GSP can appear with a different description listed. Any information, for other hostings or different descriptions, please trype it here, so I can edit it. Note: Those information, come from US Ip's. Soo, if you description doesn't match with this ones, please tell us, so I can edit. As pointed by DjPortedNZIt might be good to note that sending a message to the lower tier provider isn't probably going to be effective. Always send it to the top level provider. I.e: I sent a message to vilayer and DedicatedGaming. DedicatedGaming replied today that it's basically out of their hands as they have no power to administer the server and sent me back to vilayer. Always send the message to the top tier provider. Edit: Hi Reddit :D

Choopa is where Gameservers leases their servers though, so if it says Choopa, it's Gameservers.

I don't know if you haven't read the whole post from top to bottom, but what I stated there is a way to find out what GSP is hosting the server, of a admin abuse or something else. For that you have to do a method, in which you search for the servers ip in a specific website. And that website gives you some data of the ip. One of which is a details column. After researching a little more, I found out a pattern between a GSP and it's Details column. I've never meant that Fragnet is Colocrossing, what I meant is that every server in US that is hosted by Fragnet appears in that specific website in the Details column as Colocrossing, so if someone search for a Ip and it appears in its description ColoCrossing that meant Fragnet is hosting it. You should only be mailing the abuse contacts listed at http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/158966-dayz-standalone-server-hosting-rules-server-reporting/, as they are the only ones that actually have power to make changes. Emailing other abuse contacts will not accomplish anything (The upstream hosts simply don't care, as violating DayZ rules is not anything that's actually against their TOS). mssing 34 Posted January 30, 2014 perhaps i shouldn't ..oh well... the topic it self is in fact moaning ^^ ..these "abusive server" threads are always about some opinionated crack who's been kicked from somebody else server... i mean, why spend so much energy on this crap when you simply can rent your own server? This is an informative thread, and you have no reason to call anyone here an 'opinionated crack'. There are certain rules for renting a server, those who don't like those rules shouldn't rent. There is nothing more to it.
mssing 34 Posted January 30, 2014 yes you are right. i was out of line. there are rules to rent a server. for instance, kicking players is not against those rules. my frustration with people harassing admins kicking players, by "reporting severs" got the best of me. i apologize to everyone. The rules has very recently been updated with this:You can NOT kick players on joining, to loot farm or to prevent other players joiningYou can kick if players are being verbally abusive or abusing ingame bugs to gain an ingame advantage. So kicking players is against the rules, if it is being done to keep the server to yourself/your clan only, or to circumvent the 'no no-KoS' rule.
