Not sure why you need to update screenshots every day or couple of days, just uses up your time when people could simply search for 3PP:OFF

 

A lot of servers are turning 3PP back on though, I was playing in one yesterday and when it restarted, 3PP was back on; I raged for about 5 minutes over that and then got back to playing.

for give guys chance to see name of server how many is also where is etc when they on forum maybe not in game ;)

DayZ DE and DayZ GB 3pp:off servers seems to be broken, becouse you can use 3rd person view on them.

 

I need to find new servers to play. Maybe DayZ UK 3pp:off servers.

I wish that ArmA used a number in degrees like Battlefield when it comes to representing the field of view. I have mine set to 90deg in BF4 and in DayZ I have the bar at about halfway... Anyone know what this represents?

You can go to the corner of a building and look straight into it to get an idea of where you are in relation to 90 degrees.

I jsut wish when they do so that they would removed 3pp:off from server name. Lot's of servers that have 3pp:off in server name actually have in on.

dayum lost my gear and got character reset becosue of server hopping  in search of real 3pp:off server.

other day I was play for maybe 2 hour one 3PP:OFF server

I hit enter key by mistake and was 3rd person view coming :o

was surprise for me not good one

like you say they need some mechanic so if 3PP is on is not possible have 3PP:OFF in server name, I make suggest for this now ;)

at least withb 3PP is possible see what sex you are or what race :D

is only good thing... but inventory doing same so forget this

is zoom look feature compromise hardcore ethos?

Is atmosphere different on 3PP-OFF server? if yes how is different?

is more or less Kill on sight exist?

What is reason you decide to turn off 3rd person aid?

good places for stay hide but see other guys first

ideas for improve 1st person view example *peek* over wall feature

Really now? Next thing you will keep going on how "shooting everything in the game regardless of player, zombie or inanimate object" is the only way to play, i'm sure everyone on the forums are getting sick and tired of it

I prefer 1st person but the movement is really bad.

I always find myself getting stuck on things.

Some loot is placed where you can not see it unless you jump.

Having the bipod on the mosin blocks your freeview on your left side.

Current stance is hard to tell ie crouching or standing.

I find doors/gates more difficult to interact with.

The old vault animation is soo annoying.

Where I really miss 3rd person is travelling long distances, 1st person the journey always feels longer.

Get the head function that is SUPPOSED to be in the game working, and then no 3rd person is fine.  However, if we're going to get shafted with old, broken, and outdated Arma 2 mechanics, with just standing, prone, and crouch; then no thanks.  Sorry, but people make videos and write essays all they want.  First person in any shooter, is NOT how the human eyes preceive their surroundings, neither is third person.  If we could poke our heads up and down like you can in Arma 3, I wouldn't play on a third person server.

 

To be honest though, I play in third person because that's how I like to play video games.  For 14 years I have made the conscious choice to play in a third person camera angle on any game I can.  It's a game, if you want realism wait for the zombie apocalypse and grab a rifle, I'm sure you'll do great.

Unless you're AFK, that would ONLY happen if you were not aware of zombies being able to clip through walls.

 

Personally, if I'm indoors and I hear that I aggro'd a zombie, I immediately run outside to battle it out there. It's not a big deal and a pretty easy way to deal with that glitch until it's fixed.

 

 

It's a good thing that every person who has ever purchased DayZ has spent extensive hours researching the game's bugs and glitches on the forums before playing it, yeah?  Nice try though, but no cigar.  You're on track for worst reasoning for eliminating third person yet.

I agree everything you say, me too I feel guilty when I using zoom feature.

some guy say me about zoom feature, when you zoom in this actually put your view to 'normal' and default view is zoom out to improve FOV, but was long time ago and I am not sure is correct, also he talk about arma2 and zoom in dayz seem more extreme.

I look into this and if I find some info I post here :thumbsup:  ;)
