An Issue with the New Spawns AKA "The Kamyshovo Massacre"

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.  Hell Captain and I have some more exciting updates to share with everyone.  I am busy picking out some content of this past adventure to share with you.  But here is an appetizer to start.  This is one of our senior members preparing to make an offering to the god of death after we completed blood tests on the man:

Results are in Gentlemen

Another day's work in Kamyshovo.

50 exterminations.

We've started to take trophy pics next to successfully exterminated targets as well, we've got oodles of them:

1. Have everyone enter a unique name that can't be changed and will be locked to Steam Account

(Just like a real person has a name and only one name).

2. Show the name of your killer when you get killed

3. Let the blacklisting begin

4. When DayZ grows in complexity and people starts building bases and creating small societies the blacklisted people will not be welcome anywhere

5. The KoS maniacs can keep running around along the coast and play Deathmatch-With-A-Huge-Map

Medical experiments? This is no time to experiment on the last few survivors of the outbreak. You are nothing more than corrupted sociopaths.

You swine disgust me!

Devs are getting metrics right now by moving the spawns to see how players react. Its a good thing. I'll bet dollar to donuts that the mil spawns will be adjusted as time goes on and probably move around a bit as well. What I find amazing is that all those people would rather run to Balota when the majority of them are closer to the NEAF. Boggles my mind.

its because NEAF is complete shit atm, nothing there, Balota or the Vybor compounds are better than the airfields.

You can tell people's names by looking at their faces?

Or is it by psychic powers?

You can run around shooting like a maniac, risking your life because you can simply respawn again?

Edit:

What I'm saying is, acting like a maniac psychopath is easy at the moment because nothing is at stake. Something should be introduced to increase the stakes; add a risk to the game. We could have a respawn timer but I really don't think people will like that. Naming and shaming would be a good risk however; something at stake.

We have orders to conduct medical experiments en route to depopulating Chernarus.  Before Chernarus Health Services (CHS) fell to the outbreak, they ordered us to depopulate and continue medical research in the field.  That, along with being chosen by the God of Death has made us believe that we are the chosen ones and will survive this.

Yeah, you risk your gear and the time it takes to get it.

Which obviously isn't enough, because almost everyone I meet is a crazy maniac that acts nothing like I would suspect people to do in the dire circumstances that is the post apocalyptic world of DayZ. You and your cr4zy c00lie M3dical Divzzz might have a blast now reigning terror on the 740 000 new people that just started playing this game, but I forsee a future with DayZ SA being a very different game compared to the mod. I think most people come here and try this game to try a survival simulator, not a Deathmatch game with poor design (if it is trying to be a deathmatch game, the design is very poor in my opinion).

Lol that's it? 55-0? You guys have a lot to learn. Even actual real life seal clubbers have a better KDR than you wannabes do and they fight in hand to hand combat like men. Get gud.

We track the number of exterminations but not our own deaths. I think it's 9 or 10 for the group so far. I just tossed that in as an aside since we didn't lose anyone today.

No need to keep a notepad next to your desk to track your kills anymore!  Your clan can now track your stats in real-time at DayZGameStats!

We don't run around shooting like maniacs.  We go to great lengths to engage other survivors, win their trust, perform medical experiments, then exterminate them.

We actually place great value on our lives for two reasons:

1.  We have to cease operations when one of us die in order to get him fully equipped again.  We are professionals, so we must look the part.  But in a line of work that places a premium on efficiency, it is bothersome to take our downed partner looting.

2.  Who else will do the Lord's work?  Who else will make sacrifices to the God of Death to keep evil away?

The most difficult thing about this line of work is determining which method to use when terminating a subject if they survive the experiments.

My personal favorite is when we have a subject handcuffed and standing in an open field or on the road.  I get a running start with axe in hand and as I approach the subject I press the jump key.  While soaring through the air I swing the axe and aim for the head.  In the last two days I am 2-2 on running chops.

Sounds like maniac psychopath behaviour to me.

But honestly though, your kind is rare. I think what has to be adressed is how the general masses treat their own characters at this point in time. No stakes; no reason to care about how you act.

I am not sure if you read the entire thread, it is rather long.  But that would give you some background to the God of Death and all that other stuff (mainly RP stuff).

I think that the reason most people are so reckless with their characters is because the game is early Alpha.  With this being an early Alpha, overall content is low.  I believe that as the content and things to do expand, lethal encounters among players will decrease.

I'm not so sure.

Right now, I have a feeling that DayZ might be getting some bad rep for being a badly designed deathmatch game slash running simulator. It could be so much more, but that would require the developers to make a statement where they acknowledge this as a problem and clearly state that "a badly designed deathmatch game slash running simulator" isn't what this game is trying to be; and that they will actively work to make sure it doesn't become that. Otherwise this buzz might die out and the only people left are the people that actually want "a badly designed deathmatch game slash running simulator".

People already know all about dayz, since it's been a mod for a long time, and they know this is an early alpha.

Nobody with half a brain expects that what we have now will be all there is in the future.

Right now, all there is is 'deathmatching and running.'

Everyone expects that this will change as the development progresses and more stuff is added.

Right now the buzz is that they've sold 700,000 something copies while its in early alpha, that 700+ thousand people have bet 30 bucks each its going to be a good game eventually.

Everyone should include me. It doesn't include me, so it's not everyone. Reading on this forum, and neogaf, and twitch comments, it seems like it's far, far from everyone.

Well then you will have the privilege of being pleasantly surprised!

Due to the amount of subjects we have encountered the last 2 days, the God of Death has now upped the daily quota.  We are pleased to report that we have not encountered any difficulties meeting that amount........... yet.
