[SA] Trophy System

I was thinking what if there was some kind of trophy system which centered around PvP, you would collect items off of players you kill such as ears or something like that. This could be split between bandit kill and survivor rescues as well. The system could also go deeper and include a way to turn in the trophies for special items, so the longer you survive and more people you kill/rescue the better reward you can obtain. Probably best to just be cosmetic items in my opinion. These trophies could also be looted off dead players to make for a bigger risk.

Was about to come in here screaming now, thinking you meant achievements or something similar.  It's a bit morbid but other than possible censorship in some countries I see nothing 'wrong' with it or a similar feature.

I would like to see this work 'both ways' so to speak, something for 'Heroes' to get as well (can't think of anything meaningful/not silly, like a scarf made out of bandage casings or something).

'Ears' would be something that have to be harvested however, and possibly crafted into a necklace, downside would be other players being able to see your flesh jewelry and the ones on the ball will know 'oh shit, this guy's gonna kill me'.  This wouldn't be a surefire thing either, a Hero might collect the ears of bandits they've killed, or someone might just collect ears off the dead bodies he sees.  Or a brutal murderer might not collect the ears or any trophy so he doesn't look like a psychopath.

I thought you meant the thing that shoots incoming explosives down.

It would be okay, I would, prefer however the use of a diary system.

As being rewarded with pieces from a dead person may encourage killing, where the dev team has put a lot of effort in to make killing people less rewarding and also make robberies safer (restraining). If you went and rewarded people that wish to take, they might take pristine gear from guy the restrain then go ahead and shoot him for his ears.

If you have a Diary, you can have tally's/ numbers there for people killed, people restrained, items given (with some sort of hold out item for others to take from your hand mechanic/ animations), saline given, blood given, epi pen used, defib used.

All that kind of shit, with a pen you could write stories, tear off that story page and leave it as a piece of paper, to limit of about 20 which can be refilled by combine paper with Diary.

The diary takes up its own inventory spot and cannot be taken/ dropped until the player is dead, maybe you can read a restrained players diary to find out what sort of person they are. This encourages a fairer trial and restraining, rather than just "bandit skin! Kill him."

My views, on trophy is just that you should grow a beard over time, that you should be able to shave/ style.

Woman? Long hairstyles? Why not men too?

True that's why I suggested perhaps a flipside reward to killing such as coming upon a survivor who is being held by bandits, if you rescue you him there could be some kind of reward. Although killing people is still a lot easier and more common, perhaps there would rather be a chance to receive a trophy when killing someone to make it more balanced. If this was cosmetic as well it could be something flashy perhaps a headpiece or mask that would shout "Hey I'm a mass murderer!" so when you see this person out in the field it would trigger you to want to KoS.
