NotDavid 4 Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) (Title is for SA only) From my personal experience people do one of the following 4/5 times. 1. Disconnect as soon as they see you2. Disconnect the moment you engage with them (I only shoot if they act hostile or make me feel threatened/uneasy)3. Disconnect as soon as they die after engaging with you which prevents looting Like last night I encountered a guy at an Airfield and saw that he was holding an axe and had an M4 on his back. Well he was not responding to me over voip when I tried to communicate so I assumed him to be hostile and took a couple of shots at him and he literally just vanished before I even had time to pull the trigger a 3rd time at him. I never saw him come back again. I think he disconnected on my first shot but his body was still there for a few seconds while he was being disconnected. Regardless, this happens all the time and it's frustrating. Will they add in the 30 second timer like in DayZ Mod where you can't log out within 30 after engaging in combat? Viperprime 0 Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) The only problem with that is you can still alt f4 out. The only clear salutation would to implement a 30 sec despawn of your player so even if players alt f4 their character is still in game and can be killed for the next 30 secs. Also on top of that once you disconnect from the server even as a crash or alt f4 you are put on a 1 min timer on the hive so as to check if you are dead. No pause for thought, no need to shoot, just unload bullets. I guess if that floats your boat its ok. It's basically playing the game the easiest way possible, something which many people cannot help but facepalm at. Including me. I want to bang my head on my desk for people because they cannot handle a bit of extra tension out of player interactions. Sorry but I find that laughable in a computer game.Edit: Not to speak of the fact that KoSing is enjoyable to a point but you are missing out on so much more the game offers. The other day me and my friend were looting balota and I was on the very top of the ATC tower (thats what we call it the aircraft control tower looking building) and I suddenly just died, and so did all my friends, we assumed it was a hacker. Now what im getting to, is before we left the you are dead screen we waited to make sure our bodys wouldnt despawn but sure enough as soon as we got back to our bodys they were gone (we both got balota spawns) so I think that problem isnt really people intentionally disconnecting fast so their bodys despawn like in the mod but I think its a problem with the game right now Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
