Hey survivors,

I was curious what things people were looking forward to the most of thought needed the most urgent attention from Rocket and his team.

For me personally, the number 1 issue has to be security and exploits. Combat logging, server hopping and ghosting are pretty game-breaking. Not to mention the hacking that has already started. Sigh...

PS: I see a lot of posts around reading something like "Why do the devs give us prettier rain when we still have bugs with ___X____!!!1! Rocket should stop all development on EVERYTHING else and fix this NAO!"

I can tell you from what I know of software development is that there are more than one type of programmer/developer which specialised skill-sets. For example, you might have a 2d graphics guy that works on nothing but icons, a 3d guy that does modeling, sound guys, engine and netcode programmers etc. You can't just stop work on other things tell your entire team to start focusing on something else.

So the point of this post is not to whine about what the team should and should not be doing, I am just curious as to what people are wanting.

Hopefully with the crazy good sales (650,000 x $30 USD = 19.5mil and counting) , BIS can give rocket some more programmers to help speed up things, especially squashing all the bugs

A lot of these are relevant, but I feel they should prioritize performance first and foremost.

Well really i'd want the silly little stuff like flashlights through walls and zombies not clipped to floors and inside walls. Also probably fix the desync and prevent server hopping, then i think it will be pretty stable for a while.

Wanted to vote for survival stuff, but I have to say security trumps everything.

Wouldn't increasing performance be a gradual thing because as they add new and more complex features (players, vehicles, loot, zombies), performance will always need to be improved upon every new addition and modification.

Speaking of fixing the sounds, those random zombie noise place holders are really annoying.  I realize they won't be there forever, but come on, I'm starting to hear them in my sleep.

I want to see weapons fixed, pretty much everything that could be wrong, is wrong about them right now, and it annoys me since that's always been my pet issue.

And then disappearing bodies, combat logging, server hopping, and more zombies, about in that order.

All eyes are on the head dev Rocket. < We see so many potentially great games turn to shit because of bad decisions or bad decisions caused by efforts to maximize  profit in the short run. I hope this iisn't going to be the case with Dayz.

I totally agree. For me the game at the moment is unplayable. No matter what settings, when entering a town it's 10-15 FPS. Mod runs just fine for me though.

Take security out, because that should be biggest priority as it makes the game more unplayable than any bugs could.

I want zombies for difficulty purposes.

Reading through this poll, I found myself questioning if there was an order needed AT ALL.

I see ALL OF THESE things being quite important, and just seeing them listed here raises my hopes about how much better the game will be over how it is now, and I'm already in love with it's current phase.

I didn't vote in this poll, because I couldn't give it to anything in particular, but I can't wait for vehicles to be added. I never played the mod, but I've seen Frankie's DayZ series and it added so much more fun, and it allowed us to traverse the map much quicker, making teaming up a LOT easier.

Currently, running from Cherno to Elektro takes about 10 minutes. With a car it could take 5 at the most.

This is a 50% decrease, and when you apply that to a larger scale, it means that we're going to see somebody at each town on a 40 player server, in contrast to what we see at the moment where most of them camp at the airfields waiting to ambush.
