Instant die bug?

Me and a friend were at NWAF looting for a lot of time, we had more than 200 bullets, crazy badass M4's and such... well we were loot goblins, then, suddenly, I died.

It was a night time server and there were only 2 people beside us. 

So, inside a building, I only received the message: "You are dead".

 

Did I bugged and died instantly or, because of a really bad luck, some guy with a silenced gun killed me with a headshot trough the window? (this sounds impossible to me but its ok)

I'm kinda disappointed. If there is a bug they should fix first it's this one...

I had a similar thing happen to me twice within minutes apart.

 

Was in a building trying to loot something in the floor and then I get "you are dead" from nothing, didnt hear anyone near me, nothing went off, no gun, melee or anything. When i respawned I was running out of a building and hearing nothing but the sound of my leg break i get "you are dead" again.

 

It was 2 random acts of bugs that killed me and not killed by someone. Just bad luck lol.

Besides the fact you were looting the NWAF at night time on an empty server....you haven't really given us much to go on.

 

Were you ill, hungry, thirsty, infected etc..though in my experience these knock you unconscious rather than kill you...hmmm.

 

Oh well, just treat it as karma for loot farming on an empty server.

I've, oddly enough, also played 26 hours... and yes, random death can happen. Avoid walking under stairs.

You may have glitched outside of the building. It happened to me on my first life. My buddy said I just fell out of the building.

Have also run into this bug 5 TIMES now. Has to do with fall damage and lag, and it will happen to anyone not standing on the ground, so if you are in a building on any floor, you can lag out and die. It has caused me to break my legs 3 times ( happened to a friend once) and die twice. in each situation I was standing on a flat surface in a first or second story of a building, not doing anything else potentially dangerous. The second time I died I had a friend with me, and it definitely was not a snipe shot. Just spent 6 hours hauling canned food around and I was killed by the floor, not how I was expecting to go.

I've had this twice, Both times caused by firestations. If you sprint down the stairs too quickly you just get a random " You are dead ".

Nop, I was at a random building :p

 

And guys, no, I was not sick, thirsty or anything. At least my character wasn't complaining and the indicators were not showing up in the inventory =/

This just happened to me at NEAF.. Instant death, no shots fired, no sickness.. was in good health and fully armed, nobody was at airfield.

I've had it happen a couple times, one time I hit escape, waited a second, and I came back alive, moved about 3 feet, was dead again, pushed escape, waited a few seconds, I came back alive, I logged before I died again and was good the next game.

No I have lots of time over the last couple weeks. (200 hrs) and I have died out of nowhere not bleeding or anything many times. ITS NOT YOUR FAULT FRIEND. I have also entered sevvers and been told in red that they couldnt load character data and they had to reset my character and they would contact admin... Thats happened twice now. I have died like you in impossible to be shot places i.e. alone on server and died instantly being fully healthy and very geared... JUST READ MY PAST THREADS!! Its not your fault guys its a bug Sorry the people here couldnt be more help. They really arent HARDCORE DAYZ PLAYERS TEHY ARE HARDCORE FORUM POSTERS!! I am only here for the love of dayz. I never sprint up those firestation stairs. But one time I was walking to the top floor. No noise no one else there. "You are dead popped up" switched servers, went to another firestation, I seen a corpse on the lower part of the roof, climb down ladder, go loot him. Then again, no bullet sound nothing just instant dead.

This happens far too often for me. Always just as i got geared. Case in point, today i log in after a good night of looting, mosin with pristine PU and a magnum were my weapons and a mountain backpack full of gear. I go upstairs in a 2 story green building to get away from some zombies and pull my axe (stupid quickbar was acting up again) nekminit "You are dead"

I've solved all that mysterious deaths in buildings with no gun shot sounds.

 

I can't say more then that it is not invisible zombie but players exploiting game.

 

Waiting in hope for fast hot fix, as for now I would say do not play if you don't want to die in bullshit way untill hot fix is announced.
