Get shot while waiting on host

I just died for the 3rd time now (fully geared) because of the waiting on host screen. I will be in game (can see my hotbar) but my screen is still black. Also, it would be awesome if when I load into the game if I would remain prone as that is how I normally log out.

Not server hoping. It's taking me like 5 minutes just for the server to load and my guy just stands there.

Also if I exit during black-screen I am treated as logging off while unconscious.

You dont have to in rust you can build houses and protect them using doors that only you can open.

 

When Dayz gets base building and stuff such a method could be used.

I think you don't stay prone when you log in if even if you were prone when you logged out. So far i've seen the avatar stand up until the countdown is over so you are pretty much a target after logging out and before logging in and then it will take/or not take the last position you were in just before your black screen fades away.

What's even better is when after you log in, your screen freezes up for two mins as you take a step. Teleporting much lol

I understand your login took much longer than usual but then if you had logged in safe place would not have been a problem would it...

 

I always have to log out in safe place as i seem to find when i log in (which doesnt take that long ) i usually desync for the first minute lol and i mean to the point it wont register any actions i do other than moving (eg i cant pull gun or melee out , bandage etc so i have to log out in safe place its just a good habbit to get into .

 

Yeah i know real life sometimes mean you have to go there and then which sadly means when ya come back you may loose your character it aint perfect but its what we got.

The only time I have died when logging in in all my dayZ history was when I logged in ontop of a rock.

You wouldn't have this problem if you went into the forest to log out.

Even in a clump of trees.

People see someone login in a populated area? Ofcourse they're gonna shoot that server hopping asshole.
