Chernarus Maps!

Recommended Posts

So I think this is rather annoying. So if im missing something please let me know, but I HATE having so many maps in my bags. If there isn't already,

there needs to be a way to take duct tape and tape map pieces together. Then when you open it. The parts you don't have yet would just be white!

Whacha think?

Thanks,

Stephen

Found this on the wiki.
"There are a bunch of different maps in the DayZ Standalone including a complete map of Chernarus+, city maps, and pieces of a map. Eventually, the Survivor should be able to put the map pieces together for a complete map."

Maps only coming in pieces and scattered, is one of the things i think is stupid, to be honest.

I use a secondary monitor with a map loaded on it so i don't even pay attention to the map system in game. It is simply too cumbersome for me to even bother with

If you have pieces of maps that would go together, like Map of Northern Chanarus and map of Southern Chanarus, they will combine to make one complete map. NE and NW Chanarus will combine to make a Northern map etc...

They do not only come in pieces, there also is a 'Map of Chernarus'

Never found one..

But what is the point of having rare maps? what does it add to the game? :)

To me it is simply a hindrance easily avoided, making it a bit, needless?

Why spend hours finding maps when alt tabbing leaves you a full map instantly?

I assume the survivors are somewhat aware of their surrounding cities, so it's not even because of immersion so much as just a time eater.

You already can combine fitting parts of the map. Like BelMarduk said.

Ehh.. well how do you do it then? :)
