I didn't add the Taloon BP to the poll because I don't see why one would prefer it over a Mountain or Hunting BP. I'm also not sure how many slots the Improvised or Scavenger BPs have.

 

I prefer the Hunting backpack. It's small size(compared to the mountain BP) is nice and the dark green color goes together well with my camo clothing.

I've just gone hunter back pack as it's a decent size, and I can actually see over my shoulders with it on.

We should have a big hunter backpack, with 35 or 40 slots, since the hunter backpack is less common than the moutain backpack, i don't know why it's not better

At this point in the game there isnt really THAT much stuff you need to carry since most of it isnt used for anything at the moment. I was using the mountain backpack for a while but dumped it for the hunter since it goes better with my ttsko clothes. Also i ditched my axe

 

 

Also ive noticed you run noticeably slower when carrying more stuff, that or its issues with syncing between me and my friends. Having a smaller backpack forces you to carry less and thus lets you travel further

I have the blue taloon backpack. I don't like the hunting pack because of the camouflage, and the mountain backpack prevents the ability to see over your shoulder on hardcore servers, the only ones I play on. Why don't I like camouflage? I'm friendly and it seems that camouflage is the uniform of the killers or the paranoid. I am neither.

Childs backpack in green

Crafted messenger bag + sticks for crafted backpack

Hunter pack

Taloon

Mountain

 

Mountain backpacks are just ridiculous. They're a big brightly coloured target that you can't see over in first person. I prefer no backpack, as backpacks expand your hitbox, making you easier to see *and* kill.

Always the hunting backpack. Camouflaged and plenty of space, but the homemade backpacks are the ones i try to use until i get a hunting backpack. I never ever use the mountain backpacks as they are too big and bright in my opinion.

My quest on a new life is always for a burlap sack and some rope..and sticks for my final form.

Then a worn Talloon (worn green or blue)

Mountain, I will sometimes leave on purpose because they are just so "shoot me now"

None. Will ditch any pack as soon as I get rope and burlap and if lucky, sticks.

 

Granted it has only 12 or 20 spaces, but it is enough to carry the stuff.

When I spawn I keep the biggest possible back pack, if I play alone I use the biggest back pack, if playing with M4 I use biggest available backpack, if using Mosin I use the green kids backpack.

 

Backpacks seems like a self-evident gear to use, but if you have any determination and self confidence you can survive without a backpack just fine, a jacket, pants, assault vest and a children backpack (low profile) is all you need.

Burlap sack + rope = improvised pack.

Then add sticks to it = extra bunch of slots.

Also, looks like a bundle of garbage when you see it on a player prone in the grass.

I started a separate thread on this a day or so ago... It would seem that weight does indeed have an impact on stamina. I'm loaded out pretty well and it's very evident imho.
