I heard the spawns for them are bugged and only the ammo spawns, he said he will fix it next patch.

I've not seen a revolver or a shotgun. Personally I've yet to come across a mag for the .45 either. Seems like everywhere I go there's an M4 and a .45 though.

 

I wish they had used the AK rather than M4 as the weapon to start alpha with. All these M4s make me feel like I'm in Michigan.

The mags are there but you have to farm quite a bit for them. There insanely rare. Same for the Tactical Vest its a rarer piece of army clothing. Iv come across tones of Uk Vest though in the process. But again some color variants of the clothing are rarer than the other.
