In regards to masks and bike helmets, the loot spawns haven't been properly balanced and you can be sure more items will be added, increasing the number of items that can spawn in a particular spot, therefore making items less common. Everyone has had plenty of warnings about this being work in progress yet all I see is posters talking as if this is the final product, lol. Reason my post was not adding anything is because much like the threads creator gave us no argument to hate the masks. Now that he has explained why such hate resides in the masks or helmets existance, I can finally have something to argue against. Helmets bring safety to the character, I don't feel they're out of place since they cover your head from zombie bites. Payday masks I feel should be a rarity (more of an easter egg kind of thing), since they don't bring perks (atleast that I know of) and are quite useless like someone already pointed out, they shine your face like a star through the bush. I like the fact that there's an item or a reference to other games, it tells me about the fact that dayz developers don't have stick up their ass. I see it taking time, with people trying to survive for a while before us "survivors" arrived. That would explain some of the doors blocked off by furniture, or while the fire hall has been stocked with weapons and other paramilitary gear. People clearly tried to hold out in there.
