Hacking can't be fixed in any game. However compared to the mod the hacking will seem non existent.

Okay, what is the point in this topic, exactly?

He is in the same boat of idiots who ignored the warnings and bought the game expecting a fully perfected game then begin complaining about how it sucks and poking at every flaw in it.

Hacking will never be fixed as people will always try different methods to hack, but it can be reduced.

Dude you could spend the next 5 years and be in DayZ SA 2 and still not have the hacking fixed. These guys work harder then the Dev to make thier hacks work so they can be the first hack working again as I said before NO GAME IS HACKER PROOF. Oh and DayZ SA is just that to get the Game from being a MOD on Arma 2/Arma 3 to being a STANDALONE Game.

Well, hacking is part of online multiplayer ever since. There are working hacks for every single Battlefield/Call of Duty/Medal of Honor/Quake/Unreal Tournament/Half-Life/Far Cry game out there.

 

So what's your point exactly?

Maybe I am being dumb in my reply here, but wouldn't punkbuste help? I know it causes a lot of trouble with updates and everything, but it seems to reduce the hacking by a lot in other games..

And then they go into the code and look for a way around that it's an endless cycle you can keep talking about this till your blue in the face or play the game shit happens and it's going to happen I would rather have them work on the game then solve the hacking a Hacker will have a code to fix what ever you block in 30 second That took someone a DAY to write a code to block them... ~[GSN] Pager

We have known for almost a year now that they were starting from scratch, clearly you did not pay attention to anything relating to the standalone, otherwise you would have probably seen rocket stating many many times to NOT BUY THE GAME unless you are absolutely convinced, watch youtubers, streamers etc, know what you're buying before you buy it.

Infact, it goes into detail on the steam store page as to what is in the game right now, and what is planned.

 

As for hacking, despite the old article, its still accurate, you cannot stop hackers, no matter what you do, however DayZ had a different breed of hackers, 1 hacker, despite the nature of the game, can ruin everyones fun on a server, teleporting, teleporting everyone to a location, spawning items, heck, spawning permanent map objects! Taking control over players etc, anything was possible with the mod because of the foundation it was built on(ArmA2), those hacks will be non-existant in the standalone thanks to building the core from the ground up, and locking down scripting.

However, hacks such as aimbot and radar(being able to tell exactly where players are) are the hardest things to detect and stop, once they detect certain hacks, people will come up with ways to get around it, thats what they mean when they say "hacking cannot be stopped".

hacking is impossible to stop, and every developer will always be playing catchup so long as the client has the smallest amount of decision making power.

 

Doesnt matter how big your budget for anti-hacking technology is, people will always try to exploit the system until every aspect of the game is taken out of the hackers hands.

I know its impossible to have no hackers at all, but I am just trying to find ways to delay their work, if have more defenses it will reduce the number of hackers, even with their existence it would be just one moment for the server admin ban the guy or you to leave the server, and with punkbuster its possible to globally ban people, like on Battlefield 4 I think, I'm sorry if I'm wrong.. I'm just speculating..

As this is an ALPHA Version in the MOD it was the SERVER ADMINS that put BE on to catch hackers not the MOD. ~[GSN] Pager

How long are you going to ride the Standalone's dick piffkush? Pretty much everyone has heard your opinion and nobody gives a crap. All you've done since standalone has come out is whine and bitch about how terrible it is. Do us all a favor and quit playing, we have no need for another anti-DayZ bandwagoner, nor do we want another. I don't get why you haven't been banned yet, all you're doing from this point is spamming.
