Simple way to vastly improve NOTES in game

Recommended Posts

So I really like the fact you can write notes in this game, but I find myself passing up every piece of paper because I can't really be bothered to check every single one.  I think a really easy and simple improvement would be to create a different graphic for notes that have been written on.  Just make blank paper, very clean/blank and if it's been written on have some bold obvious random scribbles to identify it.  I think that would make them a lot more apparent and people may actually start using them!

Just so we're clear, I'm not saying this should be any sort of priority, just something down the line.

Good idea. I haven't seen any paper yet though. I was however sadly disappointed that I couldn't stab my buddy with a pen. :\

great idea, genuinely think this will be implemented. If it's too intensive on the hive to have the graphic show the actual text then, like you said, some sort of variable so we can atleast tell!

AWw for real? If you hold it and push spacebar and then attack it starts doing a stabbing animation.

Maybe if it is written on it shows up as a sealed envelope instead of a loose piece of paper?

That could work too.  Just some sort of difference that's obvious.

It would also be kind of neat if you could pin them on doors/walls or use them to label bloodbags. Also make it so that the inspect option shows the first few sentences of the note (if that's even possible).
