Saline > Blood Bagging. Here's why:

Being a veteran of the mod since July 2012, I've probably given and received thousands of blood bags. So, naturally, I resorted to trying to heal my zombie/bullet wounds with them in the SA. However, most of you guys know that, with the added blood type system and having to hunt down the blood testing kits (I have found 2 total in 20 hours of gameplay), the SA makes it incredibly challenging for a lone wolf or even a four man squad to heal up the conventional way, AND if you're O-, you might has well whore your hemoglobin to your friends and start a new character. 

 

Here's where it gets crazy:

 

SALINE! That's it. 

 

All you have to do is locate two items.

 

1. An IV start kit. (This can be found in hospitals and in the red medpacks scattered throughout Chernarus)

2. A bag of Saline (some Saline bags come with IV's attached for when speed is crucial).

 

Construct the IV by dragging the saline on the IV kit, or vice versa and equip to hot bar. Select it, make sure its in your hands and scroll-click on your wounded warrior buddy to give him a permanent (as far as I know) health boost.

 

That easy.

 

NOW GO FORTH AND HEAL!

I tested myself earlier and I'm O-.  :)  I have about 4 bags and IV start kits on me right now as well.

It was a joke haha. O- can be given to EVERYONE, but can only accept O-. And besides, Saline doesn't require taking blood damage to give blood.

or because rocket likes realisim only in his taste of mind may i add. PRETTY damn sure anyone can learn in a couple sticks, how to self IV any sort of bag into their own vein. definitely i know how to, not everyone does but if he wants realisim at least make it so if u give it to a player, thay player from that bloodbag on can induce self bloodbags from the first learning buddy experience.

Seen this argument already. Yet I've seen a person die by doing manual injection without proper knowlege. He just stuck needle in his arm and fell asleep, some time after his arm became bloated and doctors was unable to save him. At least some degree of medical knowlege is required.

Blood bags aren't even worth it. Just stock up on saline bags. They usually spawn in hospitals, prison barracks and 2nd floor schools.

Tell that to the million heroin junkies on this planet... Medical knowledge? No. Practice? Yes. I worked in an OR during my civil service and the doctor there taught me in 10 minutes how to lay an IV. You can practice with an orange ;)

I think its really absurd that you even gain blood from saline alone like that. It should just hydrate you.

I have found saline bags alot from the hotel house that has the dining side and 2 rooms, stairs to second floor but door cant be opened. The second room has almost always something medical in it.

I read somewhere in this forum that saline actually just gives you a temporary boost. if not well fed and hydrated the gained blood will be lost over time... not sure if true though

I agree, have like 5 of the saline bag IV ready to use since it's so much better.

Just sitting here, waiting for saline bags to receive a nerf/side effect. Currently makes the bloodtype hassle useless, unless you want realism.

I think its was mentioned that there looking into having the ability to place your own IV but it would incur higher risk of injury and infection.
