    DayZ - Review

Tip to "reviewing" a alpha state game. Do not name it as review and do not do it as such. Do a preview, first impressions or such about these games as they are not at the state they should be, or will be in a long time to warrant a "review". Like big game sites do this too and it is bit misleading, as bit further along the road things might be totally different and making the "review" then more or less useless and misleading.
  2. I would say the non-military rifles are wanted as they add somesort of realism to the world. Like you can find those more likely than some military weapons. Small things count to the immersion, you liked it or not. And what comes to the US weapons and other countries weapons there are a ton of countries that employ peacekeepers and help, so I could see weapons from multiple different countries being made available with really rare spawns. Although I do not know why US has showed up to help anyone, rather than wage full scale war on some random country for oil. (That end bit is a joke, do not take it seriously.)

Name weapons that should be in DayZ SA

For military I would go... maybe wanting to see RK-62 or such. Then tons and tons of weaponry that everyday citizen would have. WW2 leftovers! Submachine guns just for the sake of it maybe as bit heavier police site loot!
  4. Wish there would be some sort of ability to tiptoe a bit higher. Sort of like leaning around corners but for peeking up and down.
  5. Guise! Guise! I just did research that if you kill 10 000 people in Day Z you win the game. YOU WIN THE GAME! That is why we all play right?! To win?! YES!? Nothing is better than winning an open ended game! WINNNNNNN! WAAUUURGGHHHHH. Shoooot everythiinnngg! Pew pew! I am relatively sure after writing that, I now have a brain damage. To the hospital! But people play how they play, who the bloody gives a crap, it is a game for crying out loud. (Combat logging, hacking and such hopefully will be stomped out somewhat I would assume)

Do you agree with modding in SA?

Like why do people care if these "CoD kiddies" go away. I would be bloody glad if they would flock into some of their own deathmatch servers. And if the base game is interesting enough it will keep the playerbase up there should be no worry right? So no, there should be no stomping out chance on mods as they can and will bring some improvements, and quite frankly those extra maps come off from the ability to mod the game, they are modification to the game.

Well no one forces you ever to go into those servers! I most likely wont, you most likely wont and plenty of other people wont. So what? Maybe some will and perhaps will enjoy it. If the standalone will be good as vanilla you have nothing to worry about, there is plenty of people clearly disliking the mods and will stay on the unmodded game. It is almost fifty fifty with that. All that mods give is more options, choises and such to people. But graphic, animation and sound improving mods are mods too, so you should not just totally go "Mods are evil" because well they are not. So many good things have come out of modding, like I pointed Natural Selection, Counter-Strike and even Day Z. So it would be bit rude to just stomp on the modding community and tell them to bugger off just because some people are afraid of some people enjoying game in different manner somewhere else.

I do not get why people view mods as the devils tool of getting some high tech space weaponry!? Mods can for example improve the AI of zombies perhaps, make them more dangerous, make the game way harder than the standalone ever will be? There is so many options and that is why mods are good. Like.. did Natural Selection or Counter-Strike mods back in the day destroy Half-Life?

Like there is plenty of people saying NO to modding. So what if it would be moddable and people liking the mods would move on to the modded versions? You still seemingly would have quite a bit people play the unmodded standalone version if you so prefer?

That would just make it seem that the devs are really really lazy and not really deserving to be the making gmaes. They need to be making the game into finished product no matter what. And also here if the mods would be made during the development period maybe the devs would take some popular ideas and mods to implement them in base game. Like I think Starbound has this happening, people mod the game, some mods are really good and popular so the devs end up trying to add that feature into the base game.

However you will look at it. Mods are great for games and people will create all sorts of cool stuff for them if the modding is allowed. Like for crying out loud Shogun 2 AI was totally derpy and it was quite unrealistic arcade style of a game. Slap a mod on it and AI suddenly became way smarter, challenging and also it became bit more realistic in various ways. So yes, modding is always quite good for games. And after the game will be finished mods would keep most likely popping up, adding more interesting ideas and twists into the base game. How is this bad then? If some mod is not good for you, just ignore it and play the base game?

    Real life zombie apocalypse

My thoughts are that it does not really give that good of a sense of how it really would be with other people. In real life people have somesort of sense of... humanity. They have compassion and feelings. But when you go to internet humans are turned into monsters that yell at each other about the most simplest things. And this is what happens in the game too.

    This community....(kos complaint)

Everyone just calm down. Let everyone have their opinions about things, express yourself ALONGSIDE of them, not against them. And here are plenty of good suggestions I would take in heart. Like finding a group of friendly people you can join up with and play along with, not bothering yourself about getting shot in the head suddenly. Everyone plays the game as they do, let them play it. If someone kills you, go like "Well that is good for you, oh well better luck for me next time!" instead of hating at them, it just generates more hate.

Realism and Weapons [Balanced or Realistic?]

My take on the gunplay being realistic is. If you do want to simulate a realistic take on person not having shot things before, I want to bloody have option to adjust my sights then and have the aim move if under heavy breath or such. Not have some artificial random dice rolling in my shots where they will fly off to when aiming down the sights.

    500,000 Dayz Milestone

But it is not released this year is it? Like this is alpha build, not even finished product as I understood it when I bought access to the Alpha build. Still need to go through beta to release!
