Hey, guys! I'm wondering if I buy the standalone game will I be able to run, because I play on a laptop?

My specs are:

The laptop model is toshiba satellite a665-16k.

You should be able to, but the game is pretty unoptimized at the moment.

Yeah, thats why I'm asking. I mean, I checked the specs but its a laptop after all and not gaming one and sometimes even if I cover the min. specs the games still dont run smooth.

Hi guys, new member here. I'm just about to purchase a new pc and would like to know if i could run dayz on max settings with good fps with this spec.

Specs are as follows

Thanks in advance for any replies :)

Motherboard : Asus M5A78L-M USB3

CPU : AMD FX 8350 Eight Core CPU (turbo 4.2Ghz)

Memory : 16gb DDR3 1600mhz Corsair Vengeance Memory

Graphics Card : Nvidia GTX 660  2gb (Tripple screen support via DVI / HDMI / DISPLAY PORT)

That's a good build and should run very well. That said the 660 is getting little older but high should be definitely doable.

Hi guys, getting sick of mainstream, scripted games and want to try something fresh. Would you kindly give me some info if my rig can run DayZ SA:

Desktop
Monitor resolution: 1920x1080
CPU: Intel i5 2500 @3,3 GHz (SandyBridge)
Graphics card: AMD Radeon Sapphire HD6950 1GB DDR5
RAM: Geil DDR3 - 4 GB 1333MHz
SSD? (Yes/No) No

I really don't care about high graphics quality ('cause I kno that you need monster rig to get nice graphics and good framerate), more interested if I can run game with some acceptable draw distance etc.

Another good build, will run just fine but would not expect max settings.

I am going to be building a gaming PC soon, I know for a fact it will run Dayz. But how well?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2y22o

A fancy build with quality hardware. However unless you edit video, doing cloud or rendering heavily and on near daily basis, the i7 3770K is waste of money over i5 4670. If you insist on i7 CPU than step it up to LGA 2011 with i7 3930K.

RAM - 2333Mhz check

PSU - check, seasonic say no more

GPU - 780 Ti check

HDD > NO, stay away from seagate. WD Caviar blue series 7200rpm 1Tb is what you want.

You also don't list an SSD. Build such as this absolutely deserves SSD and any from reputable manufacturer will work. I'd recommend 250Gb or more

What monitor are you going for?

Sorry for the spam of posts, but I am trying to find a good build for the budget.

 Intel® Core™ i5-4570 Processor (4x 3.20GHz/6MB L3 Cache)

8 GB [4 GB X2] DDR3-1600 Memory Module

 600 Watt - Standard

 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 - 2GB - Single Card

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

How much FPS do you think I could get with this?  Thanks, I really appreciate all of the help!

Enjoy the game, needn't worry. Aim for what looks good enough Ingame rather than just pushing sliders to the meaningless max settings.

Intel Core i5 3210m @ 2.5 ghz(turbo 3.1) Hyperthreaded Dual Core

Radeon 7670m 2gb

8gb 1600 mhz ram

Should run very well, even for a laptop

Np, see my reply one above. he's running 660 as well

It should play somewhat well but your graphic card will hold you back. I wouldn't expect anything higher than medium.

But since it's a laptop I would be very cautious- laptops aren't made for gaming

I made a silly flowchart, i made it blinding for fun so dont complain. Everyone's system/setup is different so results may vary.

it really should solve a lot of questions on here...definitely the PC side, and the laptop side is a guideline to follow to help avoid disappointment.

It will run but very very slowly, ie crappy frame rate. You should consider upgrading to a quad core intel and something like a GTX 660 min. Also consider getting 8gb of Ram and installing 64 bit Win7. Vista is crap I'm surprised anyone is still using it lol.
