Can I Run DayZ Retail (POST HERE)

Recommended Posts

Can someone reccommend a motherboard for this system? It turns out the the MSI Z77A G45 I had planned is now discontinued. Someone suggested a Z87x mobo but they are on an 1150 socket while my CPU is 1155. I'm currently looking at this mobo, thoughts please?:

Anyone know if geforce 9500 gt can run that game?

It's hard to tell...but considering only your GPU,I doubt it my friend. What's the rest of your specs? Post it here...and we might be able to come to a better judgement.

We'll be waiting.

See you later,friend! o/

Pentium Dual core T4300 2.10ghz

2GB RAM

Windows 7

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570

Anyone know if I can run it?

Well...depending on your screen resolution you could run it,but with an extremely low FPS,I believe. I'm not an EXPERT when the subject is ATI GPUs but I did some research...and your Graphic Card is equivalent to an 9600M GT,which could run the game decently (depending on your game settings and, again, screen resolution). Due your lack of RAM,your game would freeze constantly, without mentioning your CPU,which is not very powerful as well.

P.S.:This is MY opinion...I'm not a computer expert. Said opinion is based on my self experience with gaming and hardware,so...please,feel free to share your knowledge with me,so we can have a bountiful relationship. xD

That's it! Hope I could contribute in some way.

Peace! o/

Desktop or laptop? Desktop

Monitor resolution: 1440 x 900 (Native Resolution)

CPU: AMD FX-8120

Graphics card: GeForce GTX 550 TI

RAM:* 8 GB

SSD? (Yes/No) NO

I'm planning on doing a GPU upgrade sometime in the near future but money is an issue. I'd like to get a GTX 770 but to be honest, I don't know if I'll be able to afford it. So what would be a nice considerable upgrade that I would really notice?

Also I would really appreciate it if someone could help me configure the in game settings AND the config files to get the best FPS and best picture quality. I know I'm not gonna be able to run on Very High but I'd like to run better than Very Low. Thank you for your time and patience and insight with whoever decides to help me.

Hey Guys! I own a Macbook Pro 15 inch laptop and wanted to pick up DayZ but was not sure If the specs on the macbook are good enough to run the game. Also if the specs are good enough i plan on using bootcamp to install windows 8. Here are the specs:

Processor:  2.2 GHz Intel Core i7.

Memory:  4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3.

Graphics:  Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB.

Display: 15.4-inch (1440 x 900)

Thanks for your time guys much appreciated!

Make sure you install the 64 bit version so you can use all 4GB of RAM, but even then it's not going to be a great experience.

Yes, the SA appears to offer slighty better frame rates than the mod.

The bad news is that your 2008 entry level PC isn't going to give you a good DayZ experience.

I think you could run it properly on that screen resolution. Still...you'll have to set your game configurations wisely. The only thing that could spoil your experience is that GPU...I'm not so confident about it.

Theoretically, yes. It works better than the mod in infinite ways, but as you know...the game is still Alpha,so...there will be bugs and glitches,of course. I'm not sure if your question was about optimization or general gameplay...but due the early stage of the game there is much to be done, including optimization, considering that the engine used by the standalone,it's the same used by the mod, only improved.

May the eternal sun shine upon you!

See you soon!

Farewell!

Laptop

Resolution: 1366x768
CPU: Pentium Dual-Core T4300 @ 2.10GHz
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce G 103M
RAM: 4 GB DDR2 (3.1 GB available)
OS:Windows 7 SP1
No SSD

I can play even on the lowest graphics settings and resolution lower than 1024x768.

And one more thing, what the weakest internet connection is needed to play.

I connect to the Internet via WiFi on phone. The connection is quite fast (4 Mbps) and stable.

On this laptop ArmAII is playable but DayZ mod won't run. I don't mind running on all settings set to low.
