Hvizeu 17 Posted December 17, 2013 I was playing with my friend today, all was fine (great game btw), but then it all went to hell, we had a couple of bandages, and had to use them all to stop the bleeding that zombies seems to cause 100% of the time, every time i get hit by a zombie i get an internal hemorragy or something , i love the game and all but this is just a bit too much, i was wearing full body covering clothes and a hit from a zombie makes me bleed like that, just makes no sense unless they have knives atached to the arms. Well after i patched up my friend he was in a pretty bad shape so i made a run to the hospital and guess what? empty,..like nothing at all, not even dirt. And then i pass out for 30 mins,...so yeah...is thata bug or a feature? because i can se this getting under my skin real quick, unless u update the zombie model to have knives or a sword on them. patriots20068@yahoo.com 100 Posted December 17, 2013 No. That's been in the game since initial release man. And it will stay in the game as well....
Hvizeu 17 Posted December 17, 2013 So i guess thats just 29,99 going down the trash can,...because 100% bleed chance is just not manageable, arma 3 breaking point nailed the zombies imo, i thought dayz team could do better than this.
ken@thekab.com 37 Posted December 17, 2013 You can tear most (if not all) shirts into rags and use those as bandages. You don't actually need "bandages" per se. Hospital was (most likely) empty because the loot only respawns on server restart. Go to a server recently restarted and it's a gold mine, go there on one that hasn't and it's empty. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACTIVELY SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME AND ARE PREPARED TO HANDLE WITH SERIOUS ISSUES AND POSSIBLE INTERRUPTIONS OF GAME FUNCTIONING." or are you just blind? Maybe you shouldn't have bought the game in the first place if you weren't willing to deal with the bugs and 'unbalanced' gameplay that were obviously going to come with it. Hvizeu 17 Posted December 17, 2013 Raymond, i agreed to see bugs, not poor desing choices, but i accidentaly found out you can turn some clothings into rags thanks for the info anyway the kab, this is making my life a lot easier, despite that i still dont agree with the bleeding ratio and the lack of coagulation, but i can play the game peacefully now, and raymond...go get some maners. DudeTheTree 12 Posted December 17, 2013 It's not 100% bleed chance. I've bled one time after taking a zombie hit, and it was after I was shot.

First, you need to go read what an alpha test actually is... Second, it's not a 100% chance. I've been hit 3-5 times before i began to bleed which is fine. I wish it was 100% do to the lack of zombies in the first place. Edited December 17, 2013 by Synix

It lowers the chance to bleed. You're complaining about this now, and the game isn't finished yet. Can't wait to see your complaints when it's finished. There is always a way to protect yourself. Ask around or read the forums for info on how.

It's probably a good idea to save it. It's gonna be my wallpaper by the time Alpha is over.

The zombie damages will probably be changed many times in furture ....in the mean time you should be ripping up all the t-shirts you see in buildings and making rags from them to use as bandages ...there really is no excuse to die from bleeding out from zombie hits :) unless your a totally new fresh spawn and are unlucky enough to start bleeding again after tearing up your t-shirt for rags before finding bandages/t-shirts around. broguenz 333 Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) You clearly have not played the Mod. *head Desk* Might be safer to assume not everyone who buys the SA has. Its on its own now and will attract new players that may well not even know the mod even existed. Edited December 20, 2013 by RogueNZ
Hvizeu 17 Posted December 20, 2013 Well its been a few days since i started this post, i figured the new game out a bit, its a lot difrent from the mod (wich , yes, i have played *facedesk* check ppl join date by hovering the mouse over their names btw) , i like the idea of getting more protection from from clothing but still, a bare handed decaying corpse is NOT going to cause severe bleeding on anyone but a newborn, its just logic im using here, i know it works diferently in the game. Before the SA was released i was playing some breaking point for arma 3 and tehy figured a pretty neat way to deal with bleeding, wich is divided into 3 types: light bleeding, medium hemorragy and sever bleeding; the first one is achieved by small caliber weapons, melee weapons and ZOMBIES, the second one by mid cal weapons and falling from around 5m heights, the last one rendered you uncouncious on top of the wound itself, your only chance to get out alive would be to have a fully equiped medic pal right next to you, and it can be achieve by high cal weapons, explosives and falling from arround 12m heights. So i dont see how the dayz team would not improve on the wounding system wich i think they will, i am just a tad frustrated because they had the mod to account for all the balancing and they still kept the knifing zombies way of life around, i realy hope that changes as it is unrealistic and immersion breaking, i would not see myself doing anything else but clean and disinfect any bruises i get from a bare handed fight, squirting blood like its a tarantino movie is not something that makes sense nor is it fair after a punch. And btw the best way i found out to deal with zombies in the SA is to circle them while i fight, still get some bullshit hit out of it sometimes but its manageable now.
