Need some info on DayZ Standalone

So since I bought Arma 2 Combined Ops on the steam market, I want to know if I would get DayZ Standalone free? I do remember people saying I would get the Standalone free if I got Arma 2 Combined ops for Dayz, so can someone tell me if this is true or not?

You will not get it for free under any circumstance just as you wouldn't get Mirror's edge 2 because you had BF4.

 

Also the dev team has many members which haven't been working on that game with Bohemia.

 

But you should be happy cause the game is very cheap on steam compared to other releases.

You can download the DayZ MOD for free, not the Standalone.

 

Well worth getting btw - its why we are all here in the first place!
