What's the best use of a biplane?

I have had plenty of experience in biplanes. I have used it to pick up entire groups of people, haul their supplies across the map, and general transportation. However, I find no better use for the biplane besides enemy camp-spotting on the northern borders and Jihad-bombing the Hotel or unsuspecting Cherno snipers. I have done both of those as well. Plus midair collisions with helicopters.

Scouting for vehicle spawns, bases, and enemy groups. Once on a Private hive i co-operatee with a Clan, telling them where the bandits were heading, hiding, holding, ect. Great victory for the Heros that day. Then i rammed their Car, with all of them inside...

But really, the only use for it is scouting or cheap transport. Until your good you'll spend more time landing than flyng. Ontop of that, theres only a set number of places big enought to both land a plane AND take off. I neve expect to keep them very long.

Pros: 

Low maintenance

Fast

Holds a ton of people and shit

Relatively quieter than the Helis, and you can cut the engine for absolute stealth. 

 

Cons:

Hard to land

Easy to stall

Had to hide

Fuel-hungry

Easy to blow up while landing on uneven terrain

Can't just land to loot every heli crash you see

Can't effectively be used for looting cities, especially small villages.

This is true. I should coordinate with some friends to air-raid a base some time with one of these. You are right, it is VERY fuel hungry, and even on servers with Auto-Refuel, it's impossible to use because you can't get close enough to a tank without getting stuck. Only useful if you have a base up north on a flat piece of un-forested land where you can land it. Unless you are a boss at pulling off backwards-landings (which often gets you blown up or stuck...)

 

Anyways, quick question, more like begging/request. Will these be carried over to Standalone for good, or were they just a shitz-n-giggles thing that will go away now that SA is out? I seriously hope this stays in the game and I won't be able to find out until I get a chance to buy it.
