I suggest that rocket puts a strong suggestion that players have a microphone for dayZ SA on the steam page.

Some don't, but it is needed piece of equipment for communicating (what dayZ is about).

but that just sounds stupid.

 

If people have one, great. If they don't, whoopty do.

 

I don't think they should be pressuring people to spend money on something that's not needed.

Ahh, the "must have Mic" rears its ugly head once more.

 

Remember there are many, although it may not be the majority, who cannot or are unable to use a mic. I'd like to see a good system of communication in game to suit both mic and non mic users.

I suppose people are only putting themselves at a disadvantage by having no mic.

But I feel "played best with microphone" somewhere on the steam page would be great.

I agree, in game having no mic is a disadvantage, but thats the same with any MP game.

 

If, however they managed to get a decent commo system in for gestures and perhaps common phrases that would stifle those who TS for eg and would assist those unable to use a mic.

 

Interesting point though.

Mics don't cost a fortune in fact they are the cheapest device for the PC...just buy one or two packs of cigarettes less a day then you have your mic...not having a mic nowadays in the age of bleeter is like having no internet...

Without a bit of a push some people may just never bother, and what happens then? No interaction other than shooting? Because everybody shoots him before he can type?
