DayZ Mod - who still plays?

vanilla Dayz is dead to me.. esp. chernarus... UGH

Personally Chernarus is my favourite map and vanilla too. I do like Taviana.... and Namalsk when the temperature guage is working....

 

but as I've said probably before there's nothing quite like a new spawn in Chernarus with the sea whispering behind you and only the heart of darkness awaiting you.

i havent played since 1.8 patch so a few month since i uninstalled it. love the game but not admin abuse which seems to happen on litterally ever server i ever been on once me and our lot start killing most people on servers.

 

starts out like hi how are you kill a few people then the admins try to take you out as they no where you are via server tools so then it becomes a constant battle with admins and group they play with. once you kill them they start either making rules up to try and kill or ban you or... start spawning gear in and vehicles like helis and constant server restarts. thats what the last 6 months have been like on many servers :rolleyes:

 

do miss the elctro or stary run with friends but as soon as you kill admins now you know whats next :(  nearly installed in again last night for a blast but i know deep down what will happen but SA might be months away :(

 

hopefully the dev team get SA out for christmas with all tools and abuse stopped so we can get back to fair dayz and the fun we used to have when it first started and what made dayz such a epic game B)

 

when dayz is right its the best game in history when its bad its the worst ! :lol:

Try overwatch i have not run  in to much admin abuse on the servers i play on.

 

Just search for darns tavern on dayz commnader there is no admin abuse on there and it is a really well optimised server

I haven't played since March of this year. The group I played with were all pretty hardcore Arma fans, so they moved over to playing Arma III, which is fun as hell. I've been playing a lot of Project Zomboid lately. Can't wait to play some Alpha SA!

I stopped playing a while ago, right around the beginning of July is when I stopped playing. I know there are alot of things to do now after the last couple of updates and things but I just dont have much fun playing anymore. I have been playing for a year and a half now and I just dont really enjoy playing much anymore but I am sure that when Standalone comes out I will be playing a crap load again. :)

I haven't played any DayZ in about a month and a half now and its totally kiling me. Moved out of home and started Uni, so I've been without internet at home which is fucking AAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH. Damn you ISP you idiot. 

 

Anyway. Usually I always have a bit of DayZ time every week, just because I can't keep away from it for very long. I started back in June 2012 and thought to myself: "Well this'll be fun. A bit of L4D style Zombie rape with a huge map. Lets try it." I have never been so wrong in my life. I try to play other games as well but I always returning to DayZ or ArmA ACE etc. In the longrun I spose ArmA2 in general is the game of which I've played the most and got bored of the least.

 

Truth is that now I'll have less time for DayZ but the "It's happening!!!" vibe is electric and awesome. Cannot wait to get my hands on the SA. Looking at you mods  :rolleyes:

I play about once a week nowadays, there just isn't much to do anymore.

I love DayZ and I've been to hell and back with it, but sooner or later you have to move on

Still hop in to DayZ public vanilla for a short session every two or three days, just to visit stashes and keep my survivor going.  Occasionally I'll have a blowout and lone wolf a chopper or go walkabout for exotic loot.

 

Tried a few mods as they arrived, but none captured my attention for long.  Not least because so many private hive servers were unreliable, swapping mods or closing down without warning, plus I can't stand the CoD with a full pack and a million vehicles crap.
