for roadblocks (assuming you mean an ambush on a road), just be wary of anything that looks suspicious. and if it looks like it might be one, just drive a little out of the way.

for snipers try to stick to things you can hide with or that will conceal you. ditches, trees, and bushes are some examples of this.

for close quarters (cities, towns, and buildings) holding shift while walking makes you do a sort of tactical walk in witch your weapon is up and you can fire on the move. holding alt lets you look around without actually turning your body and is good for getting rid of tunnel vision. and when entering buildings the best advice I can think of is to hold shift while walking in one and act like you know there is a bandit in the next room.

hopefully this helped, good luck.

Avoid Bandits by...

1. Spawn Kamenka. Optionally, you could try Balota for some early military loot but it's generally very risky.

2. Loot nearby residentials, industrials, and farm houses looking for a melee weapon and other supplies.

3. Hit all deer stands between Kamenka and Zelenogorsk.

4. Run north to Zelenogorsk. There you will find a Supermarket, some Red brick residential buildings, a church, an industrial area, and tons of farm houses.

5. Run North East to Green Mountain, where you will find military loot.

Now you should be about 1/2 geared.. You should have a rifle of some kind, a decent (16+) backpack, melee weapons, food, and probably some basic survival tools such as matches, knife, map, etc.

From here, I would normally try to make it over to Stary Sobor. On the way it's possible to find heli crashes, which you should approach with caution. Stary Sobor itself, you should approach with caution. If you have Binocs, check it from range to see if there are zombies spawning >200 meters from you, inside the town.. Also be sure to check the northern mountains for snipers. If you're not sure about snipers, loop around and come to those 2 hills from behind.

If you happen to pick up a CZ550, that's a pretty decent sniper rifle which can be used defensively in this situation.

Depending on how things go in Stary, you could run north to North West, or just try to find a vehicle/tent and set up camp somewhere.

Stop. If they are bandits you may stay alive but lose your vehicle and gear. If they're not bandits and just lol'n with ya you maybe a dead man anyway.

Don't stop and maybe they'll not want to damage the vehicle.. which i doubt but.. if they start firing, drive full tit into wall or whatever and rest in peace knowing that they won't get away with your vehicle without some work to do getting it back on the road. Sounds a bit nurr nurr nurr but bugger it, ruin their day a little :P

Sniper's.

Some times your just in the wrong place at the wrong time. But

Don't run in a predictable pattern or stop until behind solid cover.

Stay off ridge lines, don't run around in open fields. Stay away from rooftops, stairwells with windows.

Avoid high ground, snipers like sniping other snipers too and high ground is where they'll be looking for them and whoever is looking for the snipers

But.. after all the above, shit still happens.. become a sniper and you'll understand snipers

p.s

rudders are on boats, one d :)

Avoid bandit territory. Those places are NEAF, Cherno and Elektro mostly.

since matches spawn in ''hunter locations'' like castles, deerstands and farms, you can avoid completely towns. search for medical stuff at night or pray to be lucky in an industrial compound.

snipers and ambushes are hard to avoid, especially if you travel on a bright blue coffin on wheels...

If you get cornered, Make them laugh, above all else.

I seriously normally KOS people but if I catch a total newbie with next to nothing and no weapon visible (especially if he starts yelling plz don't shoot or something) I normally roll-play it a bit if im not in a rush to meet up with someone. generally if I have some LOLs with you you'll get away alive. Shoot at me, go for a weapon, or try to run and your dead.

Trust NO ONE. Except those helpful people at TMW.

Basically your best bet is to run from the road blocks..chances are if you've acquired the parts to build a running vehicle (unless you were lucky enough to find one) you should have the skills necessary to escape and knowledge to not be driving by one anyways. The probability of dying at a road block is near guaranteed. hell the chase would be fun anyways if they pursued anyways so let them see you, honk then turn and run to see f they give chase just for fun. the thrill would be exciting. Then if you get out of site, park, leave the vehicle, you can pick them off as they approach your vehicle, then just pray you're a better shot.

Your best bet for survival is to find a player or two you trust that you know, and stick to a pattern (between cities and small towns that are good for loot, something close to medical supplies if you get sick). Staying in the tree lines, hunting and searching for survival gear at night (find a military flashlight, zeds don't even see them when you're in their face), and ALWAYS assume every person you see is there to harm you. Assuming they dont see you yet, let them pass, don't talk to them, and wait for them to leave. I sit in tree lines and just watch towns and pick off zeds for fun. I don't go into big cities and only do I go into towns for food and drinks, then leave. I have never had to kill a single player but one that killed me after I think he spawned on top of me outside of the northern hills in Starry. I went back and found him, then got all my stuff back. He was too stupid to leave the area knowing I'd know his location. But its fun to have your crosshairs on someone the whole time, thinking "I can pop you in one hit"...but I don't.

Sorry for the rant...I don't play as often as I used to and its always fun to read the forums..the game has changed quite a bit but the simple concept of survival has never changed.. kill on site (kos) or simply be a shadow and develop your ninja skills lol

Dont play the game. Thats the only way to completely avoid them.

Ok all kidding aside stick to woods and tree lines and when approaching towns try to visit to the smaller less traveled ones. When you do have to go in town pay attention to zombie spawns. If the town already has an abundance of zombies its possible someone else is there. If you do have to run through fields in a highly populated area zig-zag so if someone is attempting to get a shot on you it will at least make it semi-difficult.

Or you could learn to play and take a bit more risk gear up quick as possible, And learn to shoot said bandits..

Much more fun factor than just hiding the entire game...

I actually find the hiding the fun part. Every now and then Ill roll with TMW and go on parts runs or supply runs. Very seldom do we engage with other players typically because of the server we're on. But the reason I lonewolf so much is because people are not playing when I am very often. I play late at night here in the US. Its fun going in groups and doing raids but Ive never played consistently enough with people to rely on them to be there when I want to play.

I would do it more if I knew when people were on but even TMW teamspeak is dead when Im on almost every time. And that's usually just help missions and waiting around a lot of the time. I think it'd be fun to build a vehicle with at least 3 or 4 people and drive around just looking to randomly upgrade as we scour the lands. Not really caring where we go as long as we go in, loot, gear up, and move on. Like a bunch of roaming gypsies haha.
