Hey R4Z0R49

The players on my Server are moaning about, that they cant find loot in the main citys. They also telling me something about wired grafik bugs.
My next problem, they are getting kicked all the time...

Are these the problem of my server files or just problems becouse of the new patch?

Loot is a common issue ppl moan about with the bias system active but if they check there rpt log files you will be able to see loot spawn.

Battleeye are filter issue update you filters or wait till someone fix's them.

Yeah, I'm not saying it wasn't spawning.  Not complaining about it, just checking that it's supposed to be as sparse as it is and not that I broke something.  (After an hour or two of up time) Seeing 300-500 loot bags after the update, was generally around 5000-6000 before.  Going to assume all is well for now and tell the players to suck it up and play hard.   :P

Just spectated a guy run into a firestation, he ran past 3 weapon holders containing a pistol and ammo and picked up some food. First thing he does is leaves the firestation and types into chat "WTF ADMIN THERE'S NO LOOT AT ALL IN THIS PATCH". Already becoming a recurring theme with people not used to a working bias and already pissing me off royally.

 

I am really happy to see the loot spawn problems from 1.8 sorted, for me the game feels better than ever the only suggestion I have left is to add a few more SMG's to the military table like the bizon, and remove the M14 and CCO weapons, then move Camp (Stary) to have its own loot table, that is better than military but not as good as Barracks. It gets people off the coast and stops them spending all night in Elektro/Cherno. It would also stop me having to cram my own loot table into the mission file each patch :)

M14 shouldn't spawn in military as of the hotfix. I think Stary is supposed to be the basic military of the north... like the firestation a along the coast. Maybe remove CCO from military as well and add it special to military camps?

Maybe your filters are not up to date.

I just fixed the PublicVariableValue #329 issue.

About SetVariable#0, I need some details from your setvariable.log.

What do you mean by "weapon holders"?

Weapon_holders are like a clear box in the ground you find loot in. IE every loot spawn you see from dropping a can you just drank to the spawns at crashsites all have weapon_holders as the base.

 

If you ever wish to know some debug info load up your .RPT log file

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA 

 

RPT is found here use notpad or wordpad well any doc reader will do and look for these lines.

 

"SpawnCheck Local.Agents: 0/30, NearBy.Agents: 0/60, Global.Agents: 0/3000, W.holders: 2/80, (radius:200m 86fps)."

Just tried the hotfix. Still cant get meat off of animals. Tried a cow, boar, and chicken. Won't let me get the meat after gutting them.

I don't mean to ask this but do you have a knife?

 

Edit: It works fine, they added a mechanic where no one else can be around the animal corpse but you. Perhaps try another server

 

 

I also want to add that I had a problem with picking up Comfrey Leaves. Whenever I try to pick one up, I get kicked out the server with a "Server Restriction #1"

I asked about this earlier.

 

 

One guy said the server admin needs to update his BE filters.

 

Someone else said it was a regression of the 1.8.0.1 filters, whatever that means.

 

 

I'm still not quite sure if admins need to fix this or what.

Still having reports that clients can't retrieve the meat from gutted animals

Do you have any info about the server fps anything?

Of course I have all my log files etc, here's some of the FPS lines from my RPT 

 
12:51:36 "DEBUG FPS  : 48.7805"
12:57:38 "DEBUG FPS  : 50.3145"
13:00:39 "DEBUG FPS  : 50"
 
If you want some client logs etc I can do some proper testing tonight when I am not at work instead of passing on reports from others who are online.
 
I moved my db from reality to official hive yesterday and am still in the process of migrating my object_data table thanks for the advice its good to have all those old Reality bugs gone :D

ok and then the bad thing.
in this 1.8.02 update
there is this problem that when you spawn there is no loot enywhere.
not even empty tin cans.. nothing. when you run to another town/city..
it´s empty too.

every server where i go is this same problem and every one is talking about it in eny server where i go.

one server restarted when i was there and this time there was loot but it was so small.
i spawned near kamehka next to this factory where usually this building is loaded whit cans of food. usually axe or crowbar. and plenty of other stuff.
this time there was enginepart and flare...
well. i started running to nearest city. there is this one town and there is
one food can and bandage,
then its this military tent place where is one box of painkillers epipen and shotgun ammo.. not ammos.. ammo.. 1...
when i get to big city and im about to die in thirst.
its nearly empty. shop has empty tin can and snickers bar on the floor...
some houses totally clean...
ok but my point is. when you die and respawn there is no loot at all!
absolutelly nothing!
and im sorry if this was wrong place for this  :blush:

Ok thanks I'll see what I can find tonight once I finish this bloody db migration. I would love to get that zombie agro on planes fix make it into the next hotfix too it really is a game breaker when someone is circling a town with a plane and you are below, the fps drops it brings are insane.

It worked fine before 1.7.7.1, they're too fun to remove completely (we don't spawn more than 2 helis) but I've disabled them for now :(

I can confirm what Randycat said. I'm also looking for your reply in the issues post but can't find it :(

 

And bodies disappear. Died in Berezino because of zombies and ran back from three valleys, but there was no body and no flies (at the time there was only one other player on the server). It's possible that he hid my body, but very unlikely.

Read the patch notes about files. Body issue we are aware off.

ok with the bias i think whats happening is when the building scan checks the buildings and accepts new loot to be spawned the bias then kicks in to control how many positions get loot. If the bias says no to all locations this means that building will be dead for new loot for 15 mins i think this is why logging out and back in fixes loot. Local vars get cleared meaning on logout the building has no longer been tagged and you can try again.

I'm going to change the lockout to only happen when loot spawns so after the first location gets passed will the building be tagged this should mean all buildings have loot. At the lest they will always keep trying to spawn and not get tagged.
