Crafting Journal ... How to access it!

Hello fellow Survivors, Bandits and Heroes. Firstly, I didn't see anywhere on the forum that seemed more suitable a place to post this so I'll leave it there. Depending on it's usefulness, mods can either move it, close it or pin it wherever they like.

 

This is my guide on how to access your Crafting Journal. I personally had trouble finding out how to acces it, as other players seemed to be able to access it by pressing "J" whereas I could not. Well, I found out how and now I am sharing for those of you as thick as me.

 

Options>Controls:

 

Here you will see a drop down menu that says "All Controls," located above all the keys and their actions. Click this and go to "Custom Controls" (located at the bottom.) Then, again scroll to the very bottom where you will see a list of "Use Action" commands and their bindings. Go to the bottom to number 20 and assign it to the letter "J" (or any key you prefer, J just makes sense to me.) Save and exit the options menu and you will now be able to bring up your journal and craft by clicking the tab.

This is all I have on the journal as these are the only recipes added in 1.8, will post more when updated. For now here is a .rar file that lists everything. You'll notice anything with // in front is not available yet. I wil update OP as and when they become available, for now if you're curious you can take a look at this.

Hope this helps people, if it was blatantly obvious to many, I am sorry. It wasn't to me and it took me a while to work this out.

as far as im aware you cant craft scopes in 1.8

If you open the Lootconfig.hpp's,

you can see exactly what you can make.

 

Anything with a // infront of it is exempt and not currently craftable.

That's far too compicated for my poor brain. Our lead scritor is ripping the information needed, I shall be updating the OP later on today.

Took a look at the file, there is a lot of stuff in there not yet avaliable, so to save cluttering the OP with uneccessary information, I will leave it as it and update the recipe list as and when the items becomes available. I also included a Dropbox link so you can check out the file yourself if you wish.

We also had a little think and reckon we can create our own recipes, for example:


Hunting Knife
1x Razor
1x Ductape
