Which is what's caused us the most problems ;P As it stands, we can't really do much other than get ready, though we are trying to set up trades. Once the servers settle down we'll be able to hold a more permanent spot and actually do more stuff.

I see a lot of people talking about security, but I honestly don't think it would be much of an issue as long as you find the right building. It is not like there are massive gangs out there, the largest bandit groups I have seen are 4-5 guys and use long range weapons. You could easily lock down the right building with 8 guys and CQB weapons. Maybe 2 spotters in other buildings.

Just notify everyone that anyone coming in with a weapon drawn will be killed.

So I had put in an application, and noticing that it may be 24 hours or so until it was processed I decided to get back in game and mess around.

This is the ridiculously ironic, yet ridiculously true story that followed.

I started on the shores near Kamenka, one of my favorite spots. I looted the town, getting lucky with ample food and water, and a hatchet to clear zeds silently. Just about to leave town, I find a trusty Makarov in one of the smaller residentials. I feel I have over stayed my welcome, nearby players will see the zeds spawning and I survive mostly by out-smarting...not out-gunning (should probably add in out-hacking nowadays, sad little bunch) .

I head north to check the deer stands, hoping to luck out with a nice medium-long range weapon when I spot someone climbing up one of the ladders. I patiently wait until he comes down, as I don't want to startle him while he's climbing. He could fall, and I have no morphine to help him if he does.

He reaches the ground, and I draw my pistol. "Hey, hey you! Are you friendly?"

No response. I try again.

"Hey! Are you friendly? C'mon, answer me, guy!"

Anxious, I hear him start to find his voice. "Oh! Friendly, friendly, don't shoot!"

Relieved, I lower my handgun enough to ease some tension, and crouch closer. "If you need food and water, I have spare in my backpack. But I'm heading north towards the cities around the airfield.' I say. 'What are you doing out here with no weapons?"

"Actually, I am a member of the Freeside Trading Company, I'm trying to make my way towards a friend."

I laugh to myself...how serendipitous.

And that's how I met the Freeside Trading Company. Great bunch of guys.

I would like to do this without any application, cause I want to do it fast and maybe tonight. I can join a Teamspeak server or one of your guys could come with me on my own TS if you have a password which you dont want to give away to everybody. I would really appreciate your help cause a tent seems the savest and easiest way.

To elaborate, that was Vulwulf and he was going to meet up with me (he had got himself killed by a dozen zombies a few minutes earlier) up north. The three of us ended up trekking all the way up to Devil's Castle over two days together, merrily looting, eating livestock, and zombie-evading along the way.

Well... almost... as you might remember I asked about my backpack if I have to take out stuff or if I can just put it in the tent ... well after walking all the way from Otmel (that's NE of Elektro) I arrived at the tent just to find out that my backpack was empty after picking it up again and guess what: I left my camo in there before I respawned :D

So to make you laugh before you go to bed later : I just spent a whole day, trying to save my camo and I actually destroyed it myself by using the possible savest way: a tent :DDDDD

I'm not mad anyway, I had fun searching that tent with you on the wrong server and afterwards using the super cool walking and hill climbing simulator that's included in the game :D.

Ah and yeah, the map and everything I had twice is gone too since it was in my backpack too ;D

So just for anybody outthere: Take everything out of your backpack before you put it into a tent :D

I'm gonna call it a night now! Gonna look for a new Camo tomorrow.... 0,28% Spawnchance is like no problem!

I've submitted my application about 4 days ago and able to get on at a moments notice to he out but haven't got a reply back

Did you submit it in Entry or in Staff/Employee?

No posts in the Application forums were older than a day and without a reply, when we transitioned.

If you applied in this thread, then all I can tell you is to go do it again on the forum.

I don't accept them in this thread :)

Right now though, the forum is a complete mess, so I can't promise you that you'll get a quick application process. But you're still welcome to make one :)

Bumping this thread to let everyone know how satisfied I am with what these guys are doing and how they operate. I join their teamspeak, talk for a bit, offer a trade, and a guy drives out to me, we complete the trade, everyone's happy.

A halfhour later, I offer another trade, and it was done quickly and easily, they even gave me a ride from Novy to Kamyshovo, which was nice of them to take me that far.

A little trust man, and everyone profits.

my story continues : I just logged in about one hour ago right next to the tent and went for like 5 meters and a zombie attacked me. I shot him and was like "WTF where did he come from" .. of course he was not alone so I spent all my ammo on those zombies and then found the reason for them being there : a helicopter crash site, only a few meters south of it. I put a M14 Aim in the tent for you , maybe something respawns at the crash site, I dont really know how that works. Just wanted to let you know so that you can pick up the weapon(s?).

Long story short: Heli Loot south of tent. M14 Aim in tent.

If y'all come to Dallas servers, or expand to others in general, I'd like to know. This is a great idea whenever it pops up, and the only thing that ever hinders it is lack of interest. Now that you seem to have built up 38 pages' worth of steam, I'm all in.

Confirmed. Heli appears gone now but weapon is still there. I left it there, feel free to take it for yourself. :)
