Billy_Sastard 0 Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) I find the ability to craft bandages a little silly considering the fact that since I have been playing 1.8 I have found the materials to craft bandages 2 times, while finding actual bandages so often that it is impossible to count (let's just say that I could have filled my 24 slot backpack 10 times over)... Maybe reduce the number of actual bandages or increase the components, or (probably a little of both), but as it stands now, I just ignore that recipe.Everything else is awesome, I love the new icons (yea I really do), am ecstatic about the new weapon switching, and am content with the threat level of zombies and infection rates. Thankfully I have found enough wipes and antibiotics to solve the few cases I have contracted, and have either been lucky enough or just good enough to avoid getting bleeding wounds from zombies so as to reduce my chances of infection. As far as I understand, you can get cold from swimming for ages, but who swims anywhere? Maybe rain should make you cold as well. I think the heatpacks were supposed to be useful if you get cold but yeah, you never get cold. The temperature gauge starts out deep pink and then goes red after running for 1 minute and then never changes. Perhaps, as some people have suggested, your temperature should go up when you're sick and feverish and than you could use icepacks to decrease your temperature. Of course there would have to be other effects from your body temperature, like too hot = hard to aim / can't run or something like that. Too cold = more prone to infection. Now that you have to spend time eating food, and there is a greater emphasis on scrounging and almost constantly eating small items of food, it doesn't make sense that the hunger gauge is completely filled whenever you eat anything. I think it should work more like the blood gauge where eating restores a certain amount of hunger points, and bigger things like steak restore more. You could also use this to make drinking soda less beneficial than drinking water by having soda decrease the hunger gauge (glycemic index and all that). I have some pretty crazy elaborate ideas about how blood/energy/food/nutrition should work, but I think small incremental changes are better than complete overhauls. I found a bicycle yesterday and stashed it and it is still there today, so I can only conclude that my vehicle misadventures of previous days were either exceptionally bad luck, a broken server or hacking. The temp gauge does work its just not very good :-) its something we know about and have started to get fixed for the newer updates we wonted to get all the nutrition system in place before we started messing with the temperature system.The nutrition system we have ready in the next version is just that your hunger bar is no longer instant after eating a tin of wood. Also blood has changed on char creation all players are now assigned a random blood type (it will change every death). Bloodbags are no longer found in hospitals (not good ones anyway) players will have to find the parts to create there own blood bags 4k blood in place of the 12k.Crafting is all thumbs just now we are working on this and over time it will change the biggest amount of loot found will be items/matts to be used in crafting. Is that now illegal even though all you need to acomplish the task is a helicopter.I don't understand this. Are we not allowed onto buildings that don't have ladders in Day Z mod? I am a PVP player and that really limits the game play as it takes away a solid option from me that doesn't require cheating even though its being labeled as cheating. dgeesio 1034 Posted December 2, 2013 i had a bug last night with a body of a person id killed. i shot a person he was knocked out so i went to drag his body and mess with him. he eventually bled out and dead and spawned back in but i could still run round with his corpse for along time after. so unless i dropped him or got in vehicle i basically had a corpse dragging in front of me. in the end i got in a bus and this forced me to drop the corpse. Or a launcher of some sort?I would like to see maybe the Lapua or the M107 in this role. MGs have a candidate to take down helicopters somewhat adequately: Mk Mod/m240, but taking down a huey or a biplane with one of these will take ages and in the latter case, a few hundred rounds. Yes, should you think about bringing back the rifle there will be much yelling about OP and single shots, but I would rather have more variety than less to satisfy every single new player on the server. At the moment, the plane is a flying tank, being near impossible to take down with anything but a full squad with Mods.The Huey, while less so, can shoot back. Now, rather than removing the plane and Huey(as has been the prevalent tactic lately), could you look into something to improve one's chances against it? And could we please have more variety in possible to implement skins(not blocked out) and generally, weapon variety, even if of the same gun? Different colours, sights and so on? My squad all bought the SA and can appreciate the potential, but with practically no zombies and nothing up North the game is incredibly boring in it's current state. We planed to release 1.8.1 as a final version for now i have no other info :-(.
