kevsta545 451 Posted December 8, 2014 I have decided that once I build my PC I would like to get into the mod Dayz before the standalone since currently the standalone game seems like less of an experience. I would like if anybody could to give me some feedback on the build I am currently putting together for this holiday season. (I was on a budget since living in a tourist town, being 15, and the seasons are all working against me currently getting a job.) The budget was about $500, and I hope to expand upon that build later on but I will list below a ink to my build, and also a rough list of the parts included. What im hoping for is that this build could either play the game right off the bat, (I don't care about having ultra settings as long as I can get around 40fps on any settings that would be great.) Or, if not what I should do to expand upon the current build so that I will be able to play the game in the future. Could I run this at low to mid settings and get 60 fps? Any feedback greatly appreciated guys thanks! Yes, you will be able to run it. Just monitor your CPU/GPU temperatures and if they get high tone the settings down as need be. Nice pc build overall.

You could build the same machine for less money yourself.
kupa12 1 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) hey guys, just in process of building a PC, mostly to play the newer games from 2013 -2015 on med - high settings. Please be aware that I do have some of the components, but suggestions for future updates are more than welcome! Desktop or laptop: DesktopMonitor resolution: 1920*1080p (37" Full HD LG TV)CPU: i5-4690KMotherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5Grafics card: EVGA GTX 750 TiRam: 8 GB DDR3 G-Skill RipjawsX 1600mhzHDD: 1TB Oldschool. - will change that in next month defo ;p As on my old pc the game ran with 15-28 fps on Lowest settings (inc. all the tweaks) I know the new pc will run the game smoothly on Low, my most important question is will it run with stable 40-50 fps on Medium (at least) hopefuly including cities... ( not too much hope for that). Thanks in advance for your helpful Responses! EDIT@I would be grateful for quotes both on DayZ SA as well as DayZ MOD. Posted 26 January 2015 - 11:45 PMHey guys! Pegasus177 10 Posted May 28, 2015 Ok.Not entirely accurate with FPS, however I think 50+ in towns and 80+ outside. High settings that isSorry but no. To be honest this game is very poorly optimised and the processor does EVERYTHING. GPU doesn't mean crap for Bohemias ARMA 2 engine. AMD doesn't cope as well with it as Intel does. I had a AMD FX8320 8 core 3.50ghz black edition. Your looking at 25- 30ish FPS in large towns 40 to 50fps in the open world.

Pegasus177 10 Posted May 28, 2015 Will run like a top. Have Fun :)This will run it but in reality it seems like such a waste. You could build a much better an more powerful gaming desktop with that budget and the performance would be far better.I have a gaming PC that I built which has phenomenal performance. Parts minus peripherals came to about €1200(i7 4790k over clocked to 4.6ghz, gtx970 over clocked 4gb gaming edition,LGA1150 ASUS Hero Maximus VII ROG edition 8gb ram 2 SSD's 2 1TB HDD's gets about 100+ FPS in open world 50-60 FPS in cities ) and I have a gaming laptop which does exceptionally well too but I paid a small mortgage for that laptop €2100( it's the ASUS G751JY ROGI7 4860hq gtx980m Mobo is a ROG edition with all ROG tools am turbo mode for CPU32gb ram 2 SSD's 1TB HDD it's a pretty high spec system and I get about 90fps in open world and 40-50 FPS in cities )My point is no matter how nicely spec'd your laptop is you can always build a desktop that will outshine it for a lot less of the price.Just some advice but consider it before you buy

Sorry!its better than the pc im using now and probably getting 15 fps when not around zombies which is poor i know, wanted to try this second hand pc i found and have the op of returning it if it dosent play right, Im not really concerned about graphics, would it pull 20 fps with distance turned up , im good with minimum settings as long as texture isnt broken up and i can keep my sight.> until i pick up a new PC--also when you say performance, say it was on low settings, would the performance issue be with bringing up items like aim, or binoculers? or would this just be a graphical issue?
