Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Recommended Posts

Umm, well to be honest I don't really know the differences, It seems the standalone will be using a more advanced engine? So i'm guessing that that will have an impact? I read you would need combined Operations to be able to play the regular DayZ mod is that correct? Or is there something else I will be needing in order to download and play the DayZ mod. As of right now I'm downloading the operation Arrowhead demo, so I'm guessing when I start that up it will be pretty much the same graphics as the DayZ mod will be, so if I can't run OA then I won't be able to run DayZ

Let me merge with the correct topic then.

Either way: you will need ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead to be able to play the DayZ Mod - only OA doesn't cut it. There is however a guide how to run the mod with ARMA 2: Free. Just google it real quick. :)

Desktop

Monitor resolution: 1600 x 900

CPU: AMD FX 8100 8 Cores

Graphics card: GTX 660

RAM: 8GBs

SSD? (I don't know)

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU since I get a stable 30 FPS that randomly drops to 10 sometimes. My mother board is a AS ROCK 960GM-GS3 FX board, its socket type is AM3+ and I would like to know what I can upgrade my CPU too. The max amount I can spend on a CPU is about 200 dollars or less. I live in the US.

Tough one. I found it to be barely playable on a 5870 mobility so any lower than that is gonna hurt. Having said that, the game will run. Just up to you wether you find it playable or not.

I have a problem with the game, whenever i go to all low settings I sit at about 22-23 FPS, other games I run flawless on ultra or very high. I messed around and put everything on very high and turned a lot of stuff on, in cities and outside of cities I still am at about 22-23 sometimes 20 in cities. No change at all. Any reasons or things I can do?

Hi, my computer specs are:

Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 2GB

AMD FX-6100 6 Core @ 3.30 ghz

6 GB RAM

if there is anymore you need let me know.

Monitor resolution: 1366x768

Graphics card: NVidia GeForce GT630M, 2GB and Intel HD 3000 (I use the GT630M, of course)

I don't really need fancy graphics, as long as i don't dip below 30 fps at 1366x768, i'm cool as the arctic.

Hi,

Is there a similar thread for the Standalone version of the game?

Regardless, I'm buying a laptop to play the game, I don't require anything fancy like high graphics or insane fps, I just want to be able to play the game on low/very low settings with reasonable fps (30-40).

The laptop I'm looking at getting has the following specs:

CPU: i7 2.6 ghz

RAM: 4GB

GPU: Nvidia FX 880m

Just ask if you need any other info, It's a HP elitebook 8540w I am looking at, thanks.

Does anyone get 60+fps on DayZ right now? My computer destroys this one and I don't get anywhere near 60fps. Only at the "wait for host screen"....

What I meant to say was do you guys think that build will run well with that build. Because I know its mod but I can still run well and I was wanting to know if this build would give me a good experience in-game.

Yes, you will be able to run it fine, your CPU is more than enough to handle it - might want to take a look at a better GPU whilst you're at it, but other than that rpetty solid.

Note: I'm not sure if this is the right topic.

Hello there!

I was thinking of buying Arma 2: Combined Operations so I could get DayZ mod.

But what if I lag the shit out, it would be a waste of money.

How much FPS would I get out of these specs?

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

Intel® Core i5-2450M CPU 2.50GHz (Note: There are 4 of them, so I'm guessing this is a Quadcore.)

6 GB RAM

Intel® HD Graphics 3000 and AMD Radeon 7500/7600 series (Previous update from AMD was AMD Radeon 7610M.)

Somebody please reply, I need a fast answer.

Goodbye!

Regards,

jjjackier.

You might run into problems running the ARMA 2 Mod with that setup.
