Mos1ey 6301 Posted September 29, 2013 No idea, I don't play either of those games. I can tell you that it's a damn sight better than the laptop that you posted and would run DayZ at a playable level though.
monoking 22 Posted September 29, 2013 (edited) 650TI Low/Normal on Full HD. Towns 40FPS minimum, generally above 60FPS+ outside town. A wild guess since a GTX 660 runs best on Normal. You want to play games on your laptop? You gotta burn alot of money for a midrange gpu like the 760M or higher. a 780m doesn't even run total war on ULTRA. Laptop gpu are like 2/3x more expensive then the equivalent speed of the desktop variant.Expect to burn around 1200+USD for a laptop with a good gpu. You want to enjoy gaming on laptop? Then get a 8970/780M with i5/i7 but they aren't sure cheap. Edited September 29, 2013 by monoking

(il be picking up an amd r9 290 when it releases) my other work computer runs very well on medium 25-35 fps with an evga gtx 460 oc edition its only an q9550 quad @ 2.83 ghz. 8gb ram youll be fine, but an upgrade to a gtx 570 or higher will help out. I got a 570 for my main gaming pc for dirt cheap on another note, I have an i7 laptop with gtx 460 that runs dayz way better than this q9550 so overclock you CPU to 4.0+ ghz and you should see a huge difference too
monoking 22 Posted September 30, 2013 I had the Q9550. Awesome cpu for it time and it overclocks like a beast. I7 are indeed better, my friend had a 2630QM i7 on 2.0ghz, and it performed better then my q9550 overclocked. How IPC can make a huge difference.
deebz1234 243 Posted September 30, 2013 ya man those pre i7 chips are freakin awesome considering. i took my first gen i7 930 from 2.8 to 4.5 ghz and it is a power house and super stable (with water of course) it took my FPS up +20 at a minimum. if my work pc q9550, wasnt a work pc, id be OCing that in a flash. cpu is definitely the key for dayz. basically anyone with 3.5ghz+ and a gtx 460+ can run dayz pretty well.even laptops. i swear there should just be a stickie forum that has 3 check boxes, when ever someone needs to know if I CAN RUN IT[] over 3ghz?[] over gtx 460 (or am equiv)[] laptop bam, there is your answer

creature 1189 Posted October 1, 2013 I'll venture to say no it won't. Pretty sure that's the atom processor they used in netbooks.
Xucphra 453 Posted October 1, 2013 (edited) Is that the right link? That looks like one of those school/office PCs that's used solely for web browsing and word processing. I don't think there's any chance that machine could run Arma 2. Edited October 1, 2013 by Xucphra

Bryce2523 1 Posted October 1, 2013 Should run okay on low-medum settings. The 5900 RPM hard-drive will slow things down though, so it's a bit hard to say. Is this with all settings on medium, post processing on medium and antialiasing on?
Mos1ey 6301 Posted October 1, 2013 Is this with all settings on medium, post processing on medium and antialiasing on? I wouldn't recommend anyone play with post-process effects. I'm running on a 4.4Ghz Ivy Bridge and a GTX 780 and I play with it completely disabled. He might want to drop AA before heading in to cities, but it should be okay on lower settings for the most part.

Sorry!
