only looking for 10-15FPS at med - low as that is what my current laptop is running at untill it died. Looking for a laptop off the shelf for around $500AUD, i might try some overclocking if it will get these running dayz at that FPS.

Sorry, but I doubt many here will ever condone getting a laptop for DayZ. Nothing wrong with a desktop, you get more bang for your buck.

Can't use a desktop due to personal situation. Can anyone tell me if these will work at the FPS i said or if some mild overclocking of one will make it run at those speeds.

Just curious.

CPU: I5 3570k

GPU: EVGA SuperClocked GTX 760 2 gb

Memory: 2x4 gb

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB

HDD: 1TB

FPS?

High-very high 40-60+ fps

Remember to install ArmA 2 / ArmA 2 OA onto that SSD, it will help with loading times and game stuttering issues which in return makes the game run much smoother :)

Why can't you get a desktop computer?

Parents are separated and i go between thier houses from week to week and most of the time that is by bus. Do you really expect me to carry a desktop on a bus?

You wont be able to run it, if you wanted to run it on a laptop youd really have to splash the cash

I used to run it on a 4 year old Toshiba Satellite u500/01d with 2gb of ram, a core 2 duo 2.66ghz processor and an ati 4570m 512mb card which shared some of the ram and a 500gb 5400rpm hdd until the charger shorted and took a vital part with it. I just want some confirmation whether on no those COULD run dayz on low at 10-15fps. or with some mild overclocking, ignore the fact that they only have cpu graphics cause i have seen a laptop run DayZ on basically cpu graphics.

Will this run DayZ? ignore the shared graphics.

My Friend has a GTX 660 and you will run above 20FPS for sure on normal and even on high as long the cpu is not bottlenecking it.

Will this run dayZ on medium settings? With 20+ FPS

CPU: AMD FX 4300 3.8 GHz

GPU: Nvidia GTX 660

RAM: 8GB 1600 MHz

HDD: 1TB 7200rpm SATA 3

CASE: cooler master K350

I have roughly the same system and I get anywhere from 25-60 on Low-Medium.

Hello, so recently I found out about dayz and I just had to play!  The only problem is that my computer cant run it :(.  I was wondering if this computer would though! http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Gamer+Ultra+Desktop+-+8GB+Memory+-+1TB+Hard+Drive/9177174.p?id=1218994550644&skuId=9177174&st=gamer&cp=1&lp=1    I would appreciate it if you guys could tell me if this is good enough for dayz.  If it isnt could you please tell me about another good computer (my price range is max of $750).  And I know someones going to say it so no, I cant build a computer.    Thanks!

40-60 FPS in towns. on High/Normal. Friend has a similair build.

On 4700MQ. If your cooling are strong to keep it cool enough. Wich will be atleast 3.2GHZ. with 2 cores on load.

I'd say aprox 40-50FPS in towns on Normal with 770M. 770 Performs similair then my 570GTX. I think they should be on par with I5 desktop with turbo boost on.

Can't be sure about Fx-4100. Maybe 20-40fps in towns? Some people are having problems with AMD cpu in Dayz.

also 64-bit Operating System.

Thanks in advance. I play Crysis 2 on high extreme no problem so I assumed I would be okay but I dunno I hear DayZ kinda hard.

The cpu will push it to 40-50FPS in towns. A 550TI will push it to around Low on Full HD.

On full HD with that GPU? Lowest/Low. Cpu bottleneck around 30-40 fps in town. A wild guess from using the Amd phenom X4 960T.

You definetly won't be getting 30 - 40 in towns. You could expect 30 - 40 on normal - high settings.

The SSD won't matter entirely, it is just a storage device. I'm not sure how well ArmA likes the 6 core design of the 6300, but I would imagine you could get 30 - 40 on normal settings.
