Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Recommended Posts

CPU: intel i5 4670k

Evga GTX 650 ti BOOST SC 2gb

8gb ddr3 g.skill Ripjaws X 2133mhz

What settings and how many frames a second in towns. I'm looking to start playing dayz but don't wanna waist my money if I can't run on ultra and get 40-60 in city's

Your gpu is seriously bottlenecking your system id reccomend an i5 3570k and a gtx 760/770

Get them and you will run 40-60 fps on very high settings.

Don't talk shit

His PC is PERFECTLY fine.

I have a worse PC than that and I still get 30-40 FPS

This game is CPU based, so the 560ti does not bottleneck anything. He has a good CPU too

But whats the point of having purely a DayZ made computer?

That pc would run most games very well.

I don't understand, what do you mean?

Also, his PC is perfectly fine unless he really wants to go for Ultra.

Impossibru.

Builds OC'd to 4.9GHz and dual 7970s can't get 60FPS in cities. That build is fine, and will get 30 - 50 on high.

He did say 40-60, which is perfectly possible. :)

He needs to switch out the 650Ti for a 760 or better if he wants that frame rate on close to max settings though.

Pretty much all games are very graphics-intensive, excluding some like Arma 2. The 650 Ti will run games fine, it's just not that great

Also skypill you're completely wrong, that gpu is fine for the cpu

Every system has some sort of bottleneck

But with the extra money spent on that 4th gen cpu you could remove that bottleneck.

I have to agree with Skypill.

What's the point in splashing out on a Haswell CPU when you're gonna be bottlenecked? IMO the guy would be much better off with an ivy-bridge and a stronger graphics cards.

So in this context is bottlenecking getting a CPU that's a lot better than the GPU?

Yeah, or the other way around. Either way the weak component limits the performance of the stronger one.

Hey guys, looking at building a pc to play mainly this game. This will be my first build so I don't have much idea of what components to get. People on other forums suggested most of the parts in my build. Can anybody tell me iff my pc will be able to run Dayz?

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHZ 6 cores
8gb ddr3 1600
Sapphie Radeon HD 7850 2GB Video card

Any help will be appreciated, Cheers.

Yeah, that's a pretty well rounded budget build. You'll run the mod (normal to high settings) and standalone no problem on that.

How good can this computer run dayz?

Will run just shy of max settings nicely. Personally, I'd go with the GTX 770 over the 680 though; it's both cheaper and more powerful.

Whats with the gtx 650'and the i7 3770k? Get something like a 670 and an i5

If your going be rendering then get 3770k if not drop to an i5 and get a 670. There less than 200 in some online stores in the UK.

You will struggle to get 40-60 on most rigs. Personally I would go for 8gb corsair vengeance 1600 and use the money you save to get an upgraded gpu. A 670 can be had for under £200 and from personal experience run really well.

Hey

I recently thought about building a budget gaming pc, as you can probably tell from what I said BUDGET u would I am new to this. I'm looking to be able to get roughly around 60fps on high settings, is this possible?

Specs:

Intel core i3 3220

Nzxt Source 220

Corsair Builder series CX (430 watt)

Wester Digital caviar blue 500gb HDD

4gb Corsair DDR3 1600Mhz vengeance ram

EVGA GeForce 650 Ti 1024mb GDDR5 138 bit

MSI LGA1155/Intel B75/DDR3/SATA3 USB 3.0/A&GbE/MicroATX Motherboard B75MA-P45

the build didn't including the OS but I'm running Win 7 home premium (64 bit)

If this is in the wrong part of the forums, my bad I'm new, sorry :/

Cheers Dejan :D

No, I'd guess 30+ FPS on normal settings. The settings available being very low/low, normal, high and very high.

Id reccomend going the Amd way for your cpu and gpu since youre on a budget.

Id reccomend a hd 7770 for your graphics and an fx6300 for your cpu.

i3 will perform better then a FX6300 on DayZ. The IPC of intel is alot better then AMDs and the game won't use more then 2 cores effectively. So i3, performance wise is better then fx6300.

If you would research abit on google you would find out that a 650TI performs better then a 7770 so i see no point for him to downgrade to a 7770.
