CoolRules 0 Posted July 30, 2013 Just an idea...any reason there can't be a mechanism making combat logging impossible when a player is bleeding? Player could either be unable to log out or just automatically die when attempting to log out while bleeding... Thanks. This needs some attention. When I watch DayZ streamers, it's embarrassing to the streamers when they are just trying to pump up the game and someone can get away from a conflict so easily...looks bad for DayZ... PK Richie 507 Posted July 30, 2013 There are scripts that prevent combat logging, admins just need to use them.
plexico 386 Posted July 30, 2013 You cannot stop them from actually logging, whether they alt f4 or completely turn off their computer they will be able to log off, but Origins has a feature where your character stays as an NPC with all your gear in it for about 30 seconds when you log off, it is a great feature to stop combat logging and I think it should be in vanilla DayZ aswell. PK Richie 507 Posted July 30, 2013 That was one of the scripts i meant, It's not exclusive to Origins :)Others leave you in game even if you pull your connection, your character just stands there for 30 seconds.
triage 117 Posted July 31, 2013 IF someone combat logs, I honestly think that character should just be killed if he/she alt+f4. Kinda like that plugin in minecraft.
