Suggestion for DayZ SA: Locked doors

Recommended Posts

I'd like to see doors, who we couldn't open normally, but if you had a crowbar you could break in to the house. When you're braking into the house it will make noise which will attract zombies. This would make the game a little bit more hard.

This would definitely make having a crowbar useful - atm the only reason you would pick one up is because you haven't found a hatchet yet.

To play Devil's Advocate, unlocked doors is an abstract way of simplifying breaking and climbing through a window.

No, just no...

Imagine lock picking with a hundred zombies around, or a player...

I dont know man, I picked up a set of lockpicks and within in an hour opened 4 door locks, and a eternity safe

without having any know-how

so I would say picking a lock is pretty simple in real life

the picks I had were police grade as well so they made things alot easyer.

Lock picking is actually really easy... I remember doing that all the time as a kid. The most memorable moment was when I locked my friend in a filing cabinet and then couldn't unlock it again.

Shooting out locks with shotguns, hacking through doors with hatchet.

The benefit of crowbar should be a perfect balance of quiet but quick.

Once I cracked a combo twisting combo lock just by being able to feel the change in resistance when it moved the pis or whatever.

Never ever picked up lockpicks but a kid at school used a bobby pin once.

However the technique the army uses for door breaching is shotgun quite often.
