Cowb0ySMURF 0 Posted July 27, 2013 So I went out of town for a week and my (insert insult here) brother got me globally banned. I've read the stickeys, just had a few questions.Do I just have to re-buy Operation Arrowhead and change the CD key to be back gaming? When I go to buy OA in steam it says I've already bought it, and can't again. What do I do fellas? Sorry if these questions have been answered before, just give me a break, never thought I'd be asking this, as I hate hackers. Which my brother now knows. ;)
PK Richie 507 Posted July 27, 2013 You will need a new steam account for OA, possibly even have to buy ArmA2 again unless someone knows a way round it.You will also need to search the forum for ways to edit the old registery key and add the new key.
Dancing.Russian.Man 1631 Posted July 27, 2013 (edited) You'll need to make a new account to be able to buy the game(s) again. But as per my policy, I won't let you in on how to change the keys once you have it. It's the best and the biggest there is as far as PC gaming goes. Almost everything requires it. You can get away with just buying ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead, if you download ARMA 2: Free. (Demo of ARMA 2.)

So I'll just uninstall them both, start a new steam account, get ARMA 2: Free, BUY OA, install them, and I'll be good to go?Sorry to keep bothering you bro, you're just extremely helpful. OrLoK 16186 Posted July 27, 2013 Hello there If your "brother" has not scripted, be aware there may be a key stealer still resident on your machine. You'll need to get rid of that. Search/google for the info. Rgds LoK

Logic OP.I made another steam account, deleted ARMA II and OA, getting ready to buy and download Combined Operations. That will work for day z buddy?
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted July 27, 2013 (edited) I didn't say you were lying. I don't know if you know how to hack or not, most of the DayZ hackers don't, they just buy scripts. I don't even know if you have a brother. I was just observing how many global bans are caused by brothers, it's a cautionary tale. See, idk what buying scripts even means. =/Combined Operations is what Day-z runs on correct? Sorry to keep pestering you guys. :(
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted July 27, 2013 Yeh it runs on Combined Operations which is Arma 2 and Arma Operation Arrowhead combined. It's your OA key that's banned though so as Dancing said you could get away with just buying that.

mphilippa 43 Posted July 27, 2013 I don't know man, most hackers I have come across aren't exactly the brightest guys; hence why they hack in the first place
