Better sights and telescopic sight for crossbow

The crossbow, even though it has a quiver feature now, is still sort of useless, because of the sights. It's hard to hit accurately with it, thus making it unusable in PvP at ranges greater trhan 20 metres. So proper sights are needed, because the iron sight on the crossbow doesn't work at the range that the crossbow can hit accurately.

 

It would be very nice if every crossbow would have a 1/3 chance to spawn as a scoped crossbow, one with a telescopic sight, with about 4x zoom.

 

Devs, pleeaaase.

I recall seeing an early weapon art for the SA that showed the crossbow with a scope on it, but as for the mod it wouldn't be too bad to have, until then just practice with the sights on it, its tricky but its possible to get some decent range with them. Think the farthest I've gotten someone from was about 40 meters, took a few shots to bring them down though lol.

Hmmm, well scopes will be detachable for guns so I guess the same will apply to the crossbow.  Your dreams could become a reality.

It's been discussed before but still,

I don't know any crossbow hunter who hunts without a low power scope or red dot (and I know quite a few).

Even basic crossbows come with some sort of peep sight. 

 

Crossbow bolts should come in stacks of 4, a common quiver size. And maybe a 3 or 4 second reload timer between shots.

One thing to remember is that crossbows are short ranged affairs.

Even with some kind of optic it's best to be very close to your game. 60 meters would be a long shot.

If there is one weapon i'd want to use all the time it would be a scoped crossbow.

 

Being able to stealth through a town and quietly kill zombies from distance would be ideal.

 

Hopefully you'd be able to carry a few more bolts in a quiver as well.

Nar that’s easy mode there is something about having to reload after each shot or picking off that lone zombie with the crossbow that just gives it such a badass feel or maybe it’s because everyone really wants to become more like Daryl

Every scope won't work for the crossbow though, you may be able to put one on it, but it wouldn't be zeroed to the crossbow exactly. You can't just slap a rifle scope on it and hope it works. Maybe there should be crossbow-specific optics, even though you could still put any old sight on it if you really wanted.
