What's your Day Z playstyle?

So how do you play Day Z?

 

 

Curious to hear, maybe give me some inspiration.

Personally I've recently adopted a Robin Hood kind of approach - take from the rich give to the poor. Safe to say Day Z has gotten stale and this seemed like the best way to make it interesting again. So far I'm enjoying it. I hunt people in the north and then I'll pass gear down to bambi's, give away any vehicles I find. Preferably I'll kill bandits but if you've got good gear then I don't discriminate ;)

I play the lone nomadic survivor, keeping my self away from all in the furthest reaches of the map making no contact with anyone, staying away from cities/airfields living with the basic equipment, scavenging for food/drink supplies etc etc etc. Treating the zombies as the only threat in this game, if i see another play i watch from a distance on occasions i follow just to see where they go. but never make contact.It's been enjoyable i make my own survivor stories day to day keeping a mental diary of my tales and travels. this i have enjoyed so much.

 

recently i tried the medic/hero thing loved it,did some rescue missions my sig explains my favourite journey in short. got the skin etc etc. still haven't killed anyone yet in this game.

 

Now my playstyle is the flipside i'm going to have to kill i want to try the bandit side, i won't KoS i will be inventive, including robbing/looting people kidnapping breaking legs etc etc. lets see how i like this.

my style - find one gun, go elektro, kill players, find better gun, maybe eat and drink some thing, kill more players, die from zed or player, respawn and repeat.   :P

 

is simple but I am make for me maximum fun and too much adrenalin play like this   :D

Scavenger - paranoid - antisocial - living in the woods survivor. Only shoot if I'm shot at, usually roaming the woods, finding camps, tents full of duped stuff, which I destroy and then take the vehicles back to the coast and leave 'em there for newspawns. Or in other instances put a mark on the map "tent full of guns". Also enjoy sitting in the treeline and watching through my scope players running around.

if i survive to the point i set, then i set another point and try to get there..

 

rinse and repeat.

 

only time i deviate from getting to my map point is if i come across a vehicle/plane/helo..

Hermit with a helpful streak, occasionally making direct contact, but not often.  I'll give others directions to decent loot, unwanted vehicles and crash sites.

 

I'll return hoarded vehicles to the general population and have crushed the occasional tent full of dodgy gear.

I split people into three general catagories.

 

Tier 1: Fresh spawn. Might have a makarov or some pistol varient. Hardly ever has cloathing.

Tier 2: About your level. Tier 2 and 3 can vary a bit depending on your own status. These people usually come equipped with some sort of gun that can rival your own, may or may not have different cloathing.

Tier 3: Always better off than you. More than likely have a ghille suit, sniper rifle/ extra gun/ large backpack, and have friends close by.

 

Generally, if I see these people before they see me:

Generally ignore a tier one, but make note of their existance. Might help if I'm feeling generous.

Depending on the location or situation, I'll call out to a tier two or kos.

I'll stake out a tier 3 to make sure they're alone, or prepare for engagement if they aren't. Generally I'll try to kill them once I know as much as possible about them. I'll never open fire until I know for sure I can hit them and kill them quickly.

 

If they see me first:

Try to help out or send away a tier one. Something about bandits or whatnot. Maybe I'd do something more involved with them, like hold them up or whatnot.

Never stop moving, but try to respond if talked to. Never stay still. If greeted with bullets, try to identify location and get to cover.

Eco friendly warrior keeping Chernarus cities and towns tidy, sorting all the tin-cans and empty glass bottles into neat piles for recycling. Its hard work but someone's got to do it.

Please take into consideration the next time you want to litter in a bush or open field, that we share Chernarus with the Infected a slightly timid and shy species.

 

On a serious note, I usually play as a roaming medic or a "runner" if some individual is looking for an item i'll attempt to find it for that individual in exchange for some medical supplies, if I'm low on such supplies? Otherwise its just a straight handover, but sometimes the circumstances may force me to change my playstyle.

I run around healing people of Main Hive and Private Hive servers.

I run around in the woods, avoid other survivors and live mostly from hunting.

Sometimes I loot Military objects for better weapons and go for cherno an electro only

when I freshly spawn to gather up basic gear.

 

I´m mostly friendly to other players, means I don`t shoot them on sight, sometimes when I

die and want to start from new I say where my corpse is, so someone other can gather up.

 

When I want fun I go to a high frequented server and watch the fire fights in cherno an electro

from a safe distance.

For public hives:

 

If you're not with me, you're against me. 

 

I do not take chances with other players in DayZ anymore. It's easier to just simply kill anyone that comes across you rather than let them pass and eventually kill you or try to befriend them and have them turn on you moments later.

 

For private-hives:

 

I'll try to be as friendly as I can considering a good majority of the time people on private hives are the same way.

 

 

90% of my time on DayZ is spent playing on public hives.

On Vanilla servers I play as a Medic/Hero/Bandit Killer.

 

On pretty much every other mod except for DayZero I play straight up KoS.  Unless they're a fresh spawn and moving in a different direction from me...

 

I do the above-mentioned because it makes sense to me given the inherent differences between mods.

Vanilla is hard and loot is scarce making people more likely to team up and/or need help.

Most non-vanilla servers/mods just have too much damn stuff and aren't hard enough for players to actually need to team up to survive.
