Funny moments?

I'm new to the game and was wondering what some funny moments you guys have had. Probably the funniest thing I've done so far was go into a tower in elektro with an m4. I popped off a few rounds and people started talking in direct chat and sounded panicked "who is shooting?! " I then emptied 4 stanags full auto into the sky and people were freaking out in direct. Then someone got me with an enfield.

After landing a "little bird" chopper at Taviana I was wondering what does that "Unload patients" menu button do, since I was alone in the chopper. I gave it a try and ended up laying on my back next to the chopper, and wasn't able to move at all - only my head was turning when I moved the mouse. I was still able to access the choppers gear, which seemed weird. Luckily I had friends nearby. They had to drag my body and "load patients" back into the chopper, so I got back to the pilot's seat. Then I was able to exit normally.

At least that was funny at 3AM... :D

And once my friends almost shat their pants when I alt-tabbed to Windows and back to the game, when my left mouse button got stuck due to which I emptied a whole AK mag while we were peacefully camping in a forest.

I once met a guy in Komarovo. I spawned an hour earlier, had already a gun, he had only a crowbar. We yelled friendly and teamed up. We where having a nice chat, and were heading to Balota, when my phone rang. I typed "Sorry man, gotta answer the phone". His reply was "I have never seen a phone in this game so far". It knocked me out :D

In the dead of night I crawled across a field and started to loot a chopper while the occupants were in it! However I then thought it'd be funny to jump in and see how long it'd take them to notice! Eventually one shot me while I was in the back hahaha

This happened last night:

Spawned near Electro (Otmel) looted the outskirts of the city and was on my way east. Was climbing the hill just east of the city, and WHAM someone shot me. Fell down, went unconscious and started bleeding. Then another bullet hit right next to me, missed me maybe by 30 cm-s. I lay there for about 20-30 seconds, got up, bandaged myself and ran into the forest. In sidechat I told the guy "HA! I'm still alive, you didn't kill me!" and while I was busy typing this I saw two other guys jet past me, and one of them was talking on the mic. He was screaming "Oh God he is still alive, we gotta get outa here, he knows where we are, we are gonna die!"

Note: I had an AKM, but no bullets :D

One time I was flying in a chopper with my two other friends, when I notice a rocket come out of fucking no where and screw the rotor up. We were flipping around and were screaming "Oh my god were gonna die!". So I reassured them we would make it out alive. But then ANOTHER rocket came out of no where. So right before it hit I ejected and yelled "Adios bitches!" whilst I parachuted to safety and the rocket hit. None of my friends made it out alive

We drove to the airfield next to the sea where I found an AK. He came into the hangar and said 'Nice find' he sounded genuinely pleased for me which is probably why I only broke his leg. While I bandaged him he went crazy in side chat. He was screaming 'why bro? I helped you? I could have killed you etc.etc etc. I took the car and could hear his rage until I reached the road.

I laughed.

Today a bus full of bandits honked at me three times. They did not stop to kill me or anything just honked.

Probably wanted to attract zeds to my location, but the "conga line" only followed the bus.

Sooo... jokes on them, I guess :D

I got a ride in Taviana over the bridge and had a run in with the Border Patrol. The first wheel went out, we took care of them and repaired the car, I had taken TONS of hits and was barely alive, broken legs and going into shock. So I was loaded into the trunk, like when you load a body into the trunk and we found it hilarious. They took me to the hospital but I didn't make it :(

Probably the funniest one I can remember off hand is when I logged into the game and saw someone standing right in front of me, staring right at me. Instinct took over and I lit him up only to hear the little noise that Teamspeak makes when your friend joins your server. It turns out he had been playing for a little while before and had came back to wait for me to log in. Well, he didn't get the reception he expected! A half dozen bullets from a M14 will ruin anyones day.

He was not a happy camper. Atleast he got to keep his gear... Which was a bonus.

Me and a friend of mine finally found a PBX boat (it had almost no gas) So we set out to find some gasoline, we were on the sea near cherno when i saw it.. another PBX! so we stopped and i checked it's status, it had almost 2/3 of it's gasoline left.. so i took it and we set sails for Solnichy (going for some industrial loot) There we found some a jerry can and decided we must fill the boat that had almost no gas, while we are filling it up (and i'm communicating with another friend of mine who sat behind me not playing) A guy runs up, gets in the boat and steals it.. so i didn't see it happen because of my non-playing friend and my other friend was too busy refilling the boat, i ask if it's him taking the boat, he says no.. we both panick but follow him for a while until our boat runs out of gas and decided we would just give up, head into solnichy again and just as we are about to leave, a guy on a hummvee enters the town and gets out.. so i ran and stole the car.. but as i try (very badly) to navigate past some fences and stuff the guy comes out and shoots me, i drive off bleeding and end up passing out just outside the town (with two guys following me now) they unload a few shots killing me, but as the are about to take the car my friend shows up behind them taking them down with his M240.. thinking he was successfull he gets shot by one of the dying duo.. all in all it was all good fun.. the guy on the boat got some antibiotics and 2 DMR mags out of it though

Heh. I remember a time when me and my friends found this guy on the coast and picked him up with our Huey we trolled him and brought him to the farthest island in Taviana origins that had no vehicles on it and told him we set up base there and told him over the hill theres some ammo for his Ak-47 after we lifted him up and ditched him he aimed and fired his Ak and took out the tail rotor and our group of 4 died.

Well... Me and my friend were in a private hive, worked our way to full gear(pretty populated server), found a tent, went to stash stuff, when suddenly a guy just randomly appeared behind us(yes randomly, we checked for tailers pretty good), there he is, just as suprized as we, and then just lets off a shotgun shot, killing us both without the chanche to fire back... gg ghillies...

I was looting my own dead body in Elektro's hospital (died of infection, last breath was spent looking for antibiotics). So I'm behind that little wall partition and I hear another player suddenly run in, and of course he heads straight for me and the sound of my other self's buzzing flies. As he rounds the corner im still getting my inventory to close so I just shout "WOH WOH WOH FRIENDLY I HAVE BLOOD BAGS!" and at the same time he startles and puts a round from some kind of assault gun into me but stops shooting. I dont move and just say "I'm friendly, I'm bandaging myself" hoping that my passivity will put him at ease and let me live.

Surprisingly, he does let me live but keeps me at gunpoint. My heart is pounding, the game is still hard to me and I have the culmination of two of my decently-stocked lives in his hands.

Him: "How many blood bags?"

Me: "3"

Him: "Drop the axe"

Me: "I'm going to put it in my toolbelt" (doing this automatically causes my sidearm pistol to be drawn)

Him: "DROP THE GUN DROP THE GUN"

Me: "OH GOD IM SORRY DONT SHOOT"

Pretty sure he almost shot me there, but I took care not to turn my body toward him at any point. After I dropped my puny gun he relaxed and I dropped the blood packs. He took them and offered to heal me with one if I healed him at the same time. So I got my health back, and he told me I could have the rest of my stuff and ran off with the last blood pack. Close call!

short other stories:

Got two noobie friends together to team up and do some coastline looting. A few funny things happened.

1. On sloped vegetation, a bandit surprises us from behind, firing wildly and hitting my buds. Only one of them is able to shoot back but both are grounded and have noob aim. I have no weapon and start to bolt away, but I realize the other guy is also grounded and a fire fight is under way. I get the idea to run right up to him and dance around as a distraction. It works brilliantly, he flips out thinking I have an axe and hits nothing but the air around me as my buddy finds the chance to line up the killing shot. Our first PK together.

2. For our second PK, from our uphill cover we see some poor fool out in the open trying to fight a zombie. At first we are afraid because OMG A PLAYER and hit the ground. We line up our gunsights and discuss what to do. At that moment, he finishes the zombie off, and turns to us, probably spotting us from a medium distance. He is standing still for the first time, and I fire. The others follow immediately and we bring him down firing-squad execution style. We felt guilty after that, like we just drowned a dumb puppy.

3. Karma is a bitch. Soon after that, we spot a guy on a bike from long range, he heads towards us maybe 10 feet but turns. Did he see us? It looked like he was just riding normally. It certainly was long range. We're prone in cover. We keep a hawk's eye on the entire area for about 5 minutes, he couldn't leave the area without us seeing him, but we don't see him. Did he log? Did we miss him leave? He probably didn't see us. He definitely didn't see us. We march away, but my friend Nick keeps turning around looking. He is worried he might have seen us and trailed us, but theres no sign, we're moving quickly, and it's been a long time now. About 30 seconds after Nick agrees that he was being paranoid, he turns around one last time. There the guy is. Headshot on nick, my other friend falls down and I RUN for my life. He hits me after several near misses and I run bleeding into the deep woods. Finally I lose him, and we reassemble much later, defeated. Puppy's vengence?

One of my funniest moments was when I first got the Nalmask map for the DayZ commander and got on this one vanilla server with a few people on it. I spawned in next to some player camp that had 2 Ospreys and a Mi-8. I looked around and saw a player looting up one of the tents and I killed him. He had a silenced g36 and a Alice pack with tons of Food, Water, and Medical supplies. Then another guy spawned in after he died (I'm guessing it was his friend) and attempted to shoot me but I killed him immediately. Then right before I was about to call my friend to get on this server another guy spawns and attempts to kill me but ends up getting shot in the ass 13 times. I ended up finding out they were the top clan on the server and had the best gear in the game. This is why you don't make a fucking camp on the coast.

P.S. I still have all that good loot :3.
