Personally I don't care how useful the items around Chernarus are. I hope that the developers make the decisions based on the probability of finding those items in a post-soviet state. Just let the players find out what is useful and what is not.

I'm surprised if running around with lowered weapon won't be faster than running while aiming.

Oh, right. In the mod I (and my friends) visit airfields just to gear up, and vehicles are just a secondary target. IMO it's still better to re-build the vehicle system from scratch than spend time to port the old vehicles to the standalone engine.

Why would it be empty? 90% of the players walk their way there, it's just the lazy ass CoD kiddies that will stay on the beach.

And once my friends almost shat their pants when I alt-tabbed to Windows and back to the game, when my left mouse button got stuck due to which I emptied a whole AK mag while we were peacefully camping in a forest.

After landing a "little bird" chopper at Taviana I was wondering what does that "Unload patients" menu button do, since I was alone in the chopper. I gave it a try and ended up laying on my back next to the chopper, and wasn't able to move at all - only my head was turning when I moved the mouse. I was still able to access the choppers gear, which seemed weird. Luckily I had friends nearby. They had to drag my body and "load patients" back into the chopper, so I got back to the pilot's seat. Then I was able to exit normally. At least that was funny at 3AM... :D

As far as I know the ArmA2 engine is optimized for Nvidia cards, and I don't think DayZ:SA will be different. But that's just based on posts on another forums, not official sources.

It's already mentioned that the zeds' vision at night is broken in 1.7.7 and fixed in 1.7.7.1

I would prefer a random background story that could somehow affect the starting gear (clothing and other equipment). With the respawn button still disabled, of course :D

Also the baseball bat seems a bit bugged. I found one, but it was out of "hack". Then I picked up a crowbar, that replaced the bat in the primary weapon slot, but the player model still had the baseball bat in its hands. And now I had 99999 "hacks" available. When I dropped the crowbar, I lost the "hacks" again and still had the bat in my primary weapon slot.
