Trying to log in and I see OPFOR?

Recommended Posts

I try to log into a server and after looking at "wait for host" for ages, I finally connect to a BLANK lobby.

I think "okay, this is weird" and click the usual "OK" at the bottom right.

Then I'm greeted with this: http://i.imgur.com/3cdMbbx.png

And then after a while I'm kicked off the game.

What do?

It can't be a custom mission file.

It was working fine on the same server last night and then when I tried to log in a little later, that started happening.

I CAN log into other servers, though.

go to

C:\Users\YOURUSERHERE\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA

appdata is a hidden folder in your user files

and delete the MPMissionsCache folder

Why would he do this? That doesn't sound like a solution since he can join other servers.

A friend already told me to delete that folder, and I have.

Also, blackman didn't have the same issue.

EVERYONE else could connect except me.

and I'm a girl

because thats where the mission file is executed from when you download it and deleting the cache of all the servers you have been on generally works for this problem

try creating a new profile through arma oa ( you wont lose your stuff as your player id will remain the same)

It is a private server but there is no custom mission file.

Are you sure the other players on the server aren't having the same issue? They seem to be greyed out as well.

Last time I verified integrity, it died.

And people are connecting and playing and rubbing it in their face with their helis and headshots and stuff QQ

edit: But I'll try it anyways

If it's "dying" when verifying, that isn't a good sign :P.

*flees*

Try..

I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm pretty sure it's legit. You can google other ways too, I think this is a common error.

Hello there

I verify all the time, the issues you are having *may* point to a deeper underlying problem. Give yer system a thorough check.

So before I made this thread I was told to re-install my arma patch through commander.

It failed saying I have "wrong CD key"

and now that I've verified everything and done the video stuff I can't test because I still have "wrong CD key"

;-;

Okay I fixed that and now I'm fully updated but I'm still unable to connect to the server, and I either get "connecting failed" or I see the opfor screenshot again

Well ders yer problem.

You need to do a complete reinstall of ArmA. When I mean complete, I mean everything gone. Registry too. There's tutorials in YouTube on how to do this.

If that doesn't work.. it's you and BE.

Complete reinstall is needed.

Nonono I got everything updated, it allowed me to update it after downloading an older version and then a newer one.

And I can still get on other servers
