Clothes and hands getting dirty/bloody

Recommended Posts

Small things (in my opinion) will help SA to be realistic, so read this up.

You are crawling at the muddy roads of Chernarus, your clothes get muddy.

If you shoot somebody at a close range, or maybe bandage your wounds, your hands and clothes might get bloody.

To clean your clothes/hands, you have to wash them, perhaps in the ocean?

About hands getting bloody, Black Mesa (source engine mod) did a good job on that.

Still, the blood dissappeared after a certain amount of time.

So, what do you guys think?

I don't see the point. The mud, okay, that would be pretty badass. The blood, I guess, but it's not going to change much. It's a neat idea, but it has no use whatsoever.

Plus I'm not going to trek to the ocean, or any body of water for that matter, just so I can wash myself.

I like this idea as he said above he is not going to go all the way to the ocean to clean himself, well what if you had to. What if you got other peoples blood on you as well when looting their dead body. Then had to go get cleaned off because you risk possible infection.

I think that's a pretty cool Idea, I would enjoy seeing overall wear and tear on my characters, from scars and bullet wounds to dirt and blood, some you could get rid of, like washing off dirt like you mentioned, to some you never could, like scars from near fatal wounds. Blood doesn't wash out of clothes though, Not in any convenient way when you're surviving in the wilderness; maybe permanent staining unless you change clothes?

so hes means purely cosmetic ? anyway I think its only some worth if its possible to get a risc of being infected from foreign blood but the mud idea itself is cool :D

Very good idea. Sure it has no use, but it's the subtle things in a game that make me love it.

Maybe apart from dirt and wear and tear if taken damage from zombies clothing can be ripped to add a cool effect, An example would be the Undead Hunter outfit John Marston wears from RDR, being torn and awesome looking.

I do like the idea of your clothes getting torn and bloody throughout your time of wearing it while fighting zombies and what not

It's not about the use, it's about the immersion it brings to the table.

Hmm. I want to play on a first person server in SA. So I wouldn't see my character much...
