Will YOU become an Islander?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I am here to ask a very important question. In a short time indeed, the standalone will be released and we will be set loose upon the newly revamped land of Chernarus. Among these new features, are two islands off the coast. One of these may be familiar to some ArmA players and Private hive players. Utes, an island housing an airfield and military installments of the Chernarussian military, and another smaller island that we will simply call "Treasure Island". The question today is, will you remain on the mainland or become an Islander? I plan to become an islander and inhabit treasure island, and clear it of all the infection so it may be fit to live. I will make trips to Utes for new guns, and occasional trips to the mainland for food. What will you do on the islands?

I'm going to quietly acquire all of the ignored fishing boats and tie them all together to make a "Waterworld"-esque floating city.

I'll be starting up a "Canoe retail service" at Krutoy Cap, Survivors will need some form of transport between islands. Nothing better than a canoe "if added". I'll be rolling in Beanz...........

If we just happen to join the same server, we'll either have to share or fight for the island...I CALL AIRFIELD!

Fine. I remember that from the first mission in ArmA. You could hang out with that CDF dude if he hasn't turned yet. He was pretty cool.

Well, In the ArmA 2 scenarios that guy turns out to be alive in the scenario 'first to fight' you can find him in the church hiding or by the long barn in the town.

I'll go look for him. All the Chernarussians have a funny voice, like Frenchmen on helium.

Yeah, I never really played Operation Arrowhead much. I think the only good campaign is the one in the base game, and the DLCs are just for having new things to play with.

Me and my friend have regulary travelled by sea and use Skalisty island, and another small island behind Prigorodki lighthouse, to make camps. Sea bandits!

Oh my, never considered that. Us islanders may have to deal with those nasty sea bandits. Like pirates, except they wear towels over their heads and have automatic rifles.
